The United States was formed under the pretense that its inhabitants would be Free Citizens and enjoy personal sovereignty over themselves, and their lives. This pretense is completely incompatible with socialism and liberalism. Liberalism is based in large part on socialism, which is government control of segments of the lives of private Citizens. The Constitution is a contract between the formerly Free States and the Federal Government in which the limits of powers of the Federal Government are stated in contractual law. Two amendments to the Constitution expressly address the fact that the powers of the Federal Government are restricted to the powers given to it by the Constitution. Therefore if a power is not contained in the Constitution, the Federal Government does not legally have it. Liberals and socialists have denied this fact for decades and often justify their actions by saying they can do anything the Constitution does not specifically deny. This goes back to an erroneous interpretation of the powers of government stated by Teddy Roosevelt, and to this day has not been publicly corrected. Socialism exists in large part in this country due to the illegal usurpation of power by the Federal Government and the liberals who support it. Socialism removes liberty and freedom from the people, and places control of these aspects of our lives under the control of government, often in direct contrast to the rights of the individual. Today we find ourselves less free than at any time in our history because of the imposition of socialism. Socialism is incompatible with freedom, and serves only to establish government control over the Citizens against their will.
Hey, the GOP had control over the Senate, the House, the WH and the SC for two years. They had the Senate for an additional two years and the House for an additional 6 years before that. So, how is socialism exactly imposed on us? Inquiring minds want to know.
