Liberals vs Conservatives? Why?

I have become somewhat disenchanted with anyone trying to fix anything. The Democrats have become a joke, they are more interested in trying to look effective than they are about real change. They will concede anything nowadays to get a bill passed. The Republicans are worse because they do not care about anything except winning, and pursue the goals of their corporate sponsors under the guise of patriotism. Rife hypocrisy.

Other than self promotion and self protectionism what are your hopes for our country?

Success at the expense of everybody else. Drug dealers are successful too. Maybe we should "incorporate" them onto the scene. There's profit there...hey...that's all that matters, after all.

Them are not hopes for the country, they are hopes for the individual. I have goals for myself. I hope to one day be sponsored by ON, I hope to one day be a professor in History, I hope to one day own my own gym, but they are not goals that I would have any concern with a candidate over.

My hope for this country is to become stronger and more independent from other countries for energy.

I think it's the "profit for all" part that's confusing. You call this smoke and mirrors economy a success? I don't. I call it Rome 2.0 .

Best economy? Really? What do we actually produce besides money management schemes and building Walmarts?

I'll concede on the military aspect. No one can bomb or invade a country like we can. No expense spared, compliments of Joe Taxpayer.

But seriously, the economy is eating itself. It's past the point of no return and cannot be repaired. That's why we need to bomb or invade another brown country. To reunite the people and have them all go out singing and drinking beer, and watching American Idol. That's really the only way the profits can soar for the fat cats at this point. You can bet it will happen too.

 

Oh c'mon now. How can the US be the best economy when the US is in how many billions in debt?
