I got this in my E-mail this morning. It goes to show what I have said before about the Democrats. They have a big heart. But they don't use their head. There isn't a problem we have that they won't try and fix it by funding it, even if there is no money to fund it. Of course Democrats eat it up. The more (freebees) the better. It doesn't dawn on them how it's to be paid for. They will always come back and say tax the rich more and they can pay for it. But there isn't enough money with the rich that can pay for everything Libs want to fund.

    Hello, everybody --

Michelle and I know exactly how tough it can be to pay for higher education. By the time we finished paying back the loans we took out to go to college and grad school, I was on my way to being a U.S. Senator.

I believe that anyone who works hard should have the same opportunities that our educations gave us. That's why, as President, I've made it a personal mission to make higher education more affordable -- and why I'm going to be visiting school campuses later this week.

Learn more about why this is the time to take action.

The facts are clear. Over the past three decades, the average tuition at a public four-year college has more than tripled. At the same time, many state governments are actually reducing their support for education, and many middle-class students are getting stuck with the tab. Today, the average student taking out loans to pay for education graduates with more than $26,000 in debt.

Just tinkering around the edges won't be enough: To create a better bargain for the middle class, we have to fundamentally rethink about how higher education is paid for in this country. We've got to shake up the current system.

That's why, starting Thursday, I will be embarking on a bus tour to offer my plan to make college more affordable, tackle rising costs, and improve value for students and their families. My plan includes real reforms that would bring lasting change. They won't all be popular with everyone --including some who've made higher education their business -- but it's past time that more of our colleges work better for the students they exist to serve.

Over the past four and a half years, we've worked to put college in reach for more students and their families through tax credits, improving access to financial aid, and new options that make it easier to repay those loans.

But if we're going to keep the doors of higher education open to everyone who works for it, we need to do more -- much more. And that's exactly what I'm going to be talking about this week.

So learn more here, then help to spread the word:

    Thanks,

    President Barack Obama

What Obama doesn't mention here is that a college graduate most of the time can earn over twice the amount a person having just a high school diploma makes and would be able to pay that off a lot faster than a non college person having the same amount of debt. But Obama is talking of helping the college person pay off that debt with what, taxes from the non college student? Who is there to help this non college guy out?

The MAJORITY of wealth produced in/by this nation, cannot all be funneled UP to the 1% and be successful. You and many others should realize this, by now.

Don't kid yourself. The overwhelming majority of dems are anti-American bigots at heart, which is why all their presidential nominees since the Masturbator-in-Chief have been redolent with contempt for this country.

And the 1% doesn't have enough money to fund everything the Libs want to fund. You and many others should realize that. Even if you tried to make them, many would leave the country rather than have you tax them to death. Many have already done it.

More Rich Americans Renounce U.S. Citizenship for Lower Taxes

A U.S.-born resident of Ireland recently came into some money after he and his wife sold a farm they inherited from her parents. Instead of enjoying his windfall, the man is furious at the Internal Revenue Service for penalizing him for running afoul of the agency's confusing regulations regarding the reporting of income from foreign bank accounts. He is so mad, according to his attorney, Jane Bruno, that he's considering renouncing his U.S. citizenship.

While such a move is drastic, it's also becoming increasingly common. In fact, so many people are eager to renounce their U.S. citizenship for tax reasons, that in some U.S. embassies there's a waiting list to escape from the clutches of Uncle Sam.

(Reuters) - A year ago, in Action Comics, Superman declared plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship.

"'Truth, justice, and the American way' - it's not enough anymore," the comic book superhero said, after both the Iranian and American governments criticized him for joining a peaceful anti-government protest in Tehran.

Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman's lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That's a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It's also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined.

    Of course.

Even so, we CANNOT continue in a SYSTEM wired to undermine the middle class. Let's get the money to the working folks also; otherwise, we'll have nothing worthwhile.

Are Rich Americans Leaving The Country?
    boom2bust. ^

The Zogby results are shocking – especially compared to the entire U.S. population (now about 303,116,000). The numbers below are for households, not individuals.

    • 1.6 million U.S. households already decided to move offshore and are headed in that direction. • Another 1.8 million households are seriously considering moving and are likely to do it. Many have taken preliminary steps. • 7.7 million households are “somewhat seriously” considering moving and “may” do it. • Nearly 3 million households are seriously considering buying a vacation home or other property outside the United States. Another 10 million are “somewhat” seriously considering it.

This means that almost 10% of U.S. households are considering leaving the country. Another 10% are considering living outside the country part-time. Most analysts are ignoring this silent massive emigration.

These would-be emigrant households plan to spend an average of US$260,000 on buying or building a house. They’re also planning to spend at least US$36,000 annually on living expenses outside the United States.

In total, they represent hundreds of billions of dollars leaving the U.S. economy each year.

Tax haven countries are recording significantly larger numbers of US applicants for permanent residence or second citizenship every year. Keep in mind that most of those expats are wealthy, since poor people can’t afford to leave. In fact, millions of poor people risk their lives in the back of trailers or crossing Arizona desert every year, to take advantage of our increasing welfare state. It is the wealthy, who are leaving and they represent lost US investment dollars and subsequently, LOST US JOBS…

    They're leaving?

I say, goodbye and THE PEOPLE will eventually pick up and do okay without them.

Our government, Democrats and Republicans, doesn't have a very good track record of keeping money here and having it flow down to the non rich. It was NAFTA and Free Trade and the way it was written up that gave thousands of companies the green light to leave if you remember. Taking millions of Middle Class jobs with them. It was our own government that allowed Japan to close their doors to our products, while allowing them free access to ours. Which caused the loss of several of our best industries and hurt many others. Now you think our government is going to fix it by driving out the rich?

Not the way the Libs want to keep funding give aways you won't. Some one has to pay for them and we already have 47% of the population paying no federal taxes and when we add on 11 million new citizens, you can bet your butt that percentage will go up. Your not looking at reality.

No. I say goodbye to those greedy. Let their lust take them where they might wander-off to. Yes, I say "goodbye".

You think I'm talking about give-a-ways, don't you? Why can't you understand what I've tried to relate?

    Filthy lie!

Democrats are grounded in reality, not what Rush and friends order them to believe.
