Sorry, you’re living in the past or a really crappy part of the country. Opportunity abounds for people of all colors.

Is murder related to fewer regulations on private ownership? If so explain otherwise you are conflating correlation with causation.

Not that simple. Nigerian Immigrants do well in fact as well as any other group including native born white Haitian immigrants do okay. Then again they usually come from in tact families and that seems to be the real secret

If everything is a race issue to you, you are obsessed. Quit blaming the world for your failings and stand up.

The existence of guns in the population could be a factor in the murder rate. I suspect it is pretty minor though. I think policing, city management, gangs etc etc. carry the majority of the reasons. We have lived in the country for more than 30 years. The nearest town has had one murder in that 30 year period. We don't have drug deals on street corners because we have neither drug dealers nor street corners. There are no gangs here. Not enough people for gangs to make a living. We have no homeless and, if we had a homeless person set up camp we would call the county sheriff to have them removed. The rate of gun ownership is quite high. Everyone I know has at least one gun. Guns do not affect life out here.

There are certainly inconveniences to living in a rural area. We are 15 miles from the nearest grocery store so we only go once per week. Most of our shopping happens on line. We don't have fast internet or natural gas or a lot of things city people take for granted. But it is quieter and safer than any city. Instead of looking at a crowded street we enjoy watching the deer feeding in the hay field or feeding the wild turkeys. For us the problems cities have is not related to guns. It is related to overcrowding.
