Lovely taxation state. Building permits based on the dollar value of the house, not the size. Taxation on everything, rules and regs and permits required to breathe.

I'll settle for my view of the Smokey Mountains, no income tax and realistic home prices.

Polling two groups one of 1500 and the other one of 400 in a state with 40 Million people IS NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU BELIEVABLE RELIABLE RESULTS!!!

The poll was conducted in English but 1/3 of those living in California don't speak English in the home.

 

sq ft value of the land determines the value not the house...multi million dollar houses get flipped and torn day everyday because of the value of the land far exceeds the value of the home...you can own a million dollar 10,000sq ft home in Armpit Arkansas but if no one wants to live there it's worth zero dollars....

 

then how can you assume anyone is illegal? that doesn't make sense unless you're making a racial/ethnic judgement based on their appearance or speech...

 

people can speak whatever language they want in their own home...or anywhere actually, there are no laws that require anyone to speak english...

 

There should be a law when a large portion of the population refuses to assimilate.

I'd say they would be hesitant to assimilate when they hear such open hatred directed at them daily on tv from politicians and forums like this one....

Try taking a shower in one of the newer homes in California built after '95.
They started mandating "low flow" water restrictors in the showerheads in all new construction.

Not only is it illegal to sell the regular showerheads, but there's also an additional flow restrictor built into the shower knob faucet, so simply changing out the showerhead alone wouldn't be enough to fix it.
It takes forever to try to shampoo your hair.
The flow of water is pretty pathetic.

They've pretty much invaded the privacy of people's own bathrooms.

The state has way too many illegal aliens.

No one knows exactly how many, the state has refused to count.
Most figures that we have available are drastic underestimates.
At most of the pubic schools in the state the majority of students are Latino, so that should give us some idea. Huge numbers of students who do not speak English well and are functionally illiterate.

Let's keep in mind California has a bigger population than the entire country of Canada, so we're not just talking about a little bit of illegal immigration.

As a long term Real Estate Broker in California, i can attest that many of our citizens have departed the state. I have asked some of them why move away?

A lot of them ask me, why do you stay here. My reply first. I spent years and years on my professional licenses. I still operate a very reduced business.

Ed left Ca because he was sick of the change of population in the city he was once very loyal to. I sold much of his real estate holdings. He wanted me to also move with him to Oregon. His wife just informed me Ed died 2 weeks ago from Pancreatic Cancer.

Trying to recall others. A client moved to Seattle but much of that was his wife's desire to go back home. He was pleased he made a lot of money off his real estate purchases and sales using me.

I need to scan my records to recall many more.

 

A former forum fan moved away from TX. She kept saying it was a hell of a problem to sell their home. It she said was large and made of bricks. She moved to Oklahoma. Oh wait, Bill Clinton was president when she sold out.

I saw homes like the TX home when i last was in VA too.

 

Yes, I do recall when that was happening. The huge fear Democrats told us all was too many people. Now if they are illegals, out comes the welcome sign.
