Making Freedom Great Again: U.S. Jumps Six Spots On Global Freedom Index

Pro-Growth: Say what you want about President Trump, but he has brought more economic freedom to the U.S. And that's what's driving the economy today.

In just one year, the U.S. climbed six places to 12th worldwide on the Heritage Foundation's 25th annual "Index of Economic Freedom."The U.S. index score of 76.8 is the highest since 2011, the report says.

Heritage bases its annual rankings on a dozen different measures of economic freedom, such as tax burden, protection of property rights, tax burden trade policies, labor laws, judicial effectiveness.

Why the Gain in Economic Freedom?
The reason for the U.S. gain was mainly the tax cuts and deregulatory efforts under Trump. The gains would have been bigger had it not been for the growing budget deficits, minimum wage laws, and Trump's trade battles.

Nevertheless, it's a welcome relief from the previous eight years, which saw economic freedom steadily decline under President Obama.

In fact, during Obama's tenure, the U.S. plunged from 6th place down to 18th on the Heritage freedom rank, in the wake of tax hikes and massive new financial, insurance and environmental regulations.

Another example of why MAGA is good for America. Low taxation, property rights, etc are all good for the economy.

Note that things were significantly lower under Obama, who's term was burdened by high taxes, red tape, and record black child poverty.

Obama took the worst recession in 80 years, and completely turned that around to a booming economy which he handed off to trump. NOTHING trump has done has had any change in the economic trend that has consistently gone up for 9 straight years.

The Socialist Tyrannical wannabes on the Left hate that we have freedom. That's why they hate Trump and the Constitution, they can't implement their plans, because of our Freedom and Liberty.

The Atlantic Fed is forecasting a 2.7% growth rate report for the 4th quarter. That would put Trump up over Obama by about 70%.

Is UNEMPLOYMENT really down as much as being claimed when millions who want full time work are being given only part time hours by employers who want to control the number of full time employees receiving benefits??This is forcing many to have to take two or more jobs.Despite this there are still fewer working today than were working in the year 2000, despite a considerably higher population.

 

Yes, unemployment is down as there are more jobs than people to fill them, and people are leaving positions they have worked at for years.

Its funny you mention hours being limited to avoid benefits-thats EXACTLY what Obamacare did.

Over 32 hours requires benefits-and thats because of Democrats.

I was one of those people, and when dems were called out on it-they told us we would have more time to pursue our hobbies.
