this is where the nonsense of masking up and social distancing has brought us. Now, we have maskinistas wanting to shoot children for being outside and playing.

He even went so far as to call the police reporting children at play.

Is that really his place in this world to be a mask nazi?

What do you think triggers these who are part of the cult-of-the-mask to think they have some right to call the police on or worse, threaten to kill children who are outdoors playing, but unmasked?

If individuals did as they were told, they would not be engaging in violence against others to begin with.

I have to disagree. Most of the violence is committed by those taking instruction from others. The violent actors are not acting on their own critical thought processes.

 

Following the law is still an example of one doing as they are told. Specifically the part about how committing assault is a felony offense.

Donald Trump is nothing more than a symptom of the problems facing the united states. Problems that have been in existence for longer than he has even been alive. Problems that will continue to exist long after he has left office.

 

I believe there is nothing so dangerous as the idea encoding a behavior or concept into law makes that idea moral, just, or correct.

Following your line of reasoning, the violent individual in the OP is in the wrong, but a law enforcement officer would be justified in shooting the children.

In the end, what is more concerning? A nut like the guy in the OP violating a law, or an authoritarian enforcer of a law committing the exact same act on a victim just as innocent.

To be blunt, no amount of law or attempted intellectual justification supersedes the nonaggression axiom. Of course only a tiny minority throughout history actually ascribe to this. And many authoritarians have made great names for themselves by perpetrating violence under the auspices of law justifying violence deemed abhorrent in the absence of law.

 

Unfortunately this virus and the incessant "media" hysterics has emboldened the little Hitlers among us.
