I can't help but feel suspicious of those who are not forthcoming with their gender. I feel as if they have some kind of an agenda. :blankstare: Not to mention, it's just weird.

The point is that "femininity " is not a set of laws carved in stone. You insist that's women embrace their femininity ...

First: Why? Why can't they just be people?

Second: Women , if they want to EMBRACE:roll: their femininity, should decide for themselves what femininity means, not take your word for it.

I didn't give you any "female" insults" (there's that mentality that says everything must be divided by gender) ...there are plenty of men, too, MENTALLY wearing the corsets of the 19th century.

I hope you don't own any property or keep your own wages or vote or conduct business or are a doctor or hold a patent...those things were considered totally manly and not feminine at all....

That is just your deeply ingrained myopic sexism.

You can't see people, only their sex so you can make all your erroneous ASSumptions about them.

This is a public forum, not a dating service....

    - - - Updated - - -

I had no doubts about your deeply embedded sexism.....

But if a female firefighter ever dares to try to save you, just say no, it would be so unfeminine of her....

I thought I had said "traditional gender roles." You know what that is, right?

They are people . . . women and men are people.

I already said that whatever femininity or masculinity is to a specific person.

Yes, you have. I notice that you seem to be all about women making their own decisions, unless they happen to disagree with what you think is right.

Maybe you should STOP making this personal.

What sexism? Please specify. Sorry, but there are biological differences between men and women. You may not want to recognize that fact, but it's true. Yes, I see men as men and women as women. I must be crazy. Lol.

Again, a dating service? You are making this personal again, going on the attack and being insulting. If you cannot have an adult discussion, then I suggest you just say so.

Again, with the insults? It's not sexism to acknowledge differences between the genders that actually do exist. There are MANY of them.

Oh, more passive aggressiveness because a female doesn't agree with your views on things.

Mr. Fox Hastings, you seem like a hypocrite. :blankstare:

I'm making it personal? I'm not the one who needs to know the other poster's sex.....

...and, yes, your ideas on femininity are 19th century......

So? What if a woman likes those ideals of femininity? Some women do enjoy being female and feminine.

To be clear, my comment about female firefighters is based upon biological differences between men and women. Even the weakest man can, in most cases, be stronger than a woman. It is a biological fact that men have more dense muscles that are stronger and more powerful. Therefore, it is easier for a man to pick up and carry an injured person than it is for a woman. Women are only HALF as strong as men on average. Those pesky biological facts get in the way of your agenda, don't they?

Some women are stronger than some men. Not all women are "half as strong as men"...

Whoever is qualified to do the job should have it but you just want all women to "be feminine" and give up and stay home...

At one time women were thought to be too stupid and weak to hold a political position, vote, own property, build a house, hold a job, run a company, farm, ranch, ride a horse with a leg on each side, lift weights, run marathons, defend our country........and you still hold to these antiquated beliefs.....thankfully intelligent women ignore those that want to hold them back, they ignore the sexist stereotypes and do as they please....

Well, you would be wrong . . .

Maybe a biology class would be helpful in your confusion.

    http://drjamesdobson.org/Solid-Answers/Answers?a=ff773023-2693-410d-b9e1-662f6985be4e

Nope, I don't care if women are feminine or not. It doesn't affect my life in any way, shape or form. I was acknowledging that some women actually do CHOOSE traditional gender roles, which seems to make you angry for some reason. Now, let's get to the bottom of this, shall we?

Well, just because a woman might embrace traditional gender roles, does not mean she is stupid. It seems you have very antiquated and sexist views yourself.

I never said YOU said they were a separate species so sexism isn't your only problem.

I never said I'm all for women unless they disagree with me. I challenged YOUR belief that definition of "femininity" is carved in stone for every woman.

    Want to talk hypocrite?

YOU said I was getting personal but YOU posted :

It's not a desperate need. I was curious, and I find it curious that a person would go to such lengths to hide their gender. Why? Are you ashamed of your gender?

Uh, that's personal......and now it's just turned to fun at seeing your frustration at not being able to sexually stereotype someone ....:)

Umm, sorry, but that is what you claimed.

You don't have to say it; it's obvious by your comments here and elsewhere. Fortunately for me, I never said that it was carved in stone for everyone. In fact, I fully acknowledged that it might be different depending upon the individual and his or her outlooks and views on life. You haven't been much of a "challenge" so far either.

Yes? What's hypocritical about that? I find it odd that you are trying to hide your gender. Why?

Ask yourself why it's so important for you to know my sex.......and actually think about it rather than throwing out insults and innuendoes.

And, of course I haven't "challenged" you because traditional, unthinking sexual stereotyping is much easier than thinking....it's safe and comfortable and requires no strength.

Because I like to know if I'm talking to a man or a woman, and that would be kind of important to know in a topic such as this one. If you don't have any experience in being a woman, I would suggest you stop acting as if you do.

And what's that supposed to mean? Obviously you can't understand the point that some women actually do choose that lifestyle, and you are knocking them for it. That makes you a hypocrite. See? Easy peasy.

I don't always reveal my sex to others in conversations. Why is it necessary here?

Oh, and BTW, if I was looking for dates, it wouldn't be here, as most of the men here are married. Lol. Not very good pickings, if you know what I mean . . . I do enjoy flirtation though. Nothing wrong with that, right?

I think I already stated why. When speaking about "women's" issues, it would be an important factor.

Then there's another reason that you don't need to know my sex....

I do all my "flirtation" with real people....

Oh, and also, when having a face-to-face conversation, most often it's quite easy to determine that you are talking to a male or female. Why would you want to hide the fact that you are male or female here? Why the dishonesty?

    - - - Updated - - -

I'm not a "real" person? Interesting because I thought I was a real person. :hmm:

    - - - Updated - - -

Also, quit messing up all the quotes. Why do you always do that?
