I had posted it a while back. The religious right has *no idea* what "traditional marriage" is, it just makes for some really cool talking point on Fox News.

Men and Women been getting married for thousands of years now , nothing new about about , far as I can determine.

The idea that a same-sex marriage should be morally or legally acceptable is at best 20 years old.

When Christians quote the Bible about how homosexuality is a sin, or talk about traditional Christian marriages, they seem to cherry-pick and conveniently ignore the parts about rape, ownership and abuse.

I'd probably agree that the one man/one woman traditional marriage was something special, but people walk away from over half of them. Nothing special there.

 

I really wonder how religious this country would be if your average Christian knew what was in the bible beyond what their pastor tells them.

I support the traditional CONSERVATIVE view of marriage....i.e.

1. Marrying a new, younger wife every 10 years for 40 years....like Rush Limbaugh.


or 2. Marrying Woman A, having an affair during that marriage with Woman B, divorcing Woman A and marrying Woman B, having an affair during that marriage with Woman C, divorcing Woman B (Mistress A) and marrying Woman C (Mistress B).....like Newt Gingrich.
