    One party rule will also cause this because it leads ultimately to corruption. Peeps rarely hold themselves to norms & standards unless they have a very well developed moral compass. Since morality is to a degree subjective, representation of all is necessary for the freedom of all.

    BS. By your ill logic half of the country thinks the other half didn't vote to better the country. Instead of voting for third party, they held their nose and voted for a lesser turd into the WH. How disgraceful.

    Well the republiklowns have better be aware the next time they put a pervert onto the ballot and insult the intelligence of voters, women included. They have no one to blame but themselves. That you can't see this fact is totally on you. You didn't seem to complain when women voted for Trump. By your ill logic, their votes for Trump shouldn't count.

    I think more concerningly it has also led to a belief that you cannot change things by your vote. A sense of disenfranchisement. A sense I see more from the right than from the left but it is there. We Aussies are dedicated swinging voters. Put up a pollie we do not like and we start working on who we want to replace him/her

    I think it's pretty logical to not want a pervert to be your state's representative in the Senate. Emotion would have been voting for Moore because he plays for the same "political team" as you in spite of the overwhelming evidence of his terrible character.
