Sounds like we may have (literally) dodged another bullet as with the Idaho jihadist. It does not appear at first glance it be religiously or ideologically motivated and he says it's a 'work of fiction'. It will should be interesting to see what's in the manifesto as it seems detailed:

Time to arm the teachers or recruit armed volunteers to guard the entrances and hallways.

Not a very thought out proposition.
With attacking a problem from only one angle.
But then we have law enforcement that hides when faced with the threat of an active shooter.
Makes one think, or makes some of us think.

Anyone who thinks it through will want armed teachers or many armed volunteers in every school to react instantly to any threat.

Teachers would just demand more money to pay their put upon selves to have to go to the range or cleaning their weapons.

A "work of fiction" just like Ethan Crumbley, the Oxford HS shooter's gun/violence school drawing was for a video game he was illustrating?

So there is more history to the case than just the 129-page document.

Should be voluntary. IMO, enough teachers will choose to carry concealed handguns.
The right to effective self defense is valuable. Most teachers will figure that out.

Teachers have some of the highest sexual offenses against children of any profession outside of maybe priests, republicans are constantly saying they are grooming children in the liberal dark arts — the good teachers deal with threats, large classroom sizes, hate from parents, underfunding and low pay and y’all want to stack on top of them to have a gun at school, be proficient in its use and it never be improperly stored or accessible to a student? You are expecting them to do more than officers who have access to body armor and military grade weapons.

I would ask if you are serious but I know you are.

Sounds more like a fantasy work of fiction. Is kind of messed up, but this type of imagination isn't extremely unusual when it comes to the overall population of adolescent boys.

Could it have been an indicator of an intended plan to actually carry it out? Maybe. But much more likely nothing real would have happened.

Seems like yet another example of modern society trading freedom for safety. Where even writing a messed up story could get you sent to prison.

And even if the criminal charges do get dropped, the public high school might use this as an excuse not allow the student to return.

has to be more to this, many people write stories that are bad, "the human centipede" comes to mind, talk about a sick twisted movie that I wish I had never watched

Many high schools are very on edge these days, paranoid of the slightest "warning indicators". The teen had also been in a psychiatric treatment center.

So does that mean Congress, a GOP nominating Convention, or most Trump rallies, just to name a few, are “Killing Zones?”

No one can predict the next shooter nor what the next target will be, and you can play defense all you want, but there will always be soft targets. Super arm a school, and the shooter will move to such as senior citizen homes, hell, one could even kill dozens just firing from a window on to a crowded city street. There is only one control variable in any mass shooting, and that is the weapon

Focus: You can expect armed teachers to act in self defense when their lives are threatened.

Teacher pay is low in cities and states ruled by the DP for generations.
You have made a good case for transferring control of the education budget to the parents and guardians of children.

Without ample well armed security they would obviously be "Killing Zones".

That can work, but qualified volunteers would, IMO, be a more effective deterrent, and would not deplete funds allocated for education.

If more funds are needed for the safety of children, allocate more funds.

Sure, if you ignore they then have to store the weapon while on campus, make sure a student doesn’t grab it, and worry about training / ability to fire while in a stressful situation.

You should really look up at how accurate an untrained person is in a shooting simulation.

It would be different if the always hyper partisan responses were factual but it seems like you just say whatever you think will help prove your point.

The statement that “Teacher pay is low in cities and states ruled by the DP for generations” is just an outright lie. Do you just hope everyone you speak to is an absolute idiot and won’t fact check you?
