Massive fraud by generic drug makers

This is the kind of thing that should make the average American's blood boil. Generic drug makers have been caught red-handed conspiring to price fix and carve up the market to gouge consumers on some of the most commonly prescribed drugs.

They deny it but the evidence includes texts of competitors agreeing to raise prices in tandem. Americans who take these drugs are paying double or hundreds of times more the fair price due to these activities.

So, people are being scammed by the very generic drug makers who are supposed to be lowering the price of drugs compared to the brand name.

Oh well, what can we do?

 

Take two aspirins and soak it.

 

Fine them into the next century to begin with. Big fines - billions. Send some folks to jail. Then sue them to recover what was lost by Medicaid and consumers.

 

Research the alternatives is one option.

How do you know what was lost by medicaid and consumers? There are no published prices.

 

The difference between what the drug cost before the price fixing and where it ended up with allowance for reasonable increases. Reasonable increases does not equal thousands of percent.
