So then, dissent in Syria has achieved ; 1) A new Constitution 2) Elections. A good result . Now it's for Syria to develop its own version of democracy, free from US of AIPAC/Zionist subversion and calls for civil war.
Me writing from the China country . We am thinking you velly gurrible .Or may be hollible . Vot you belief misser Moon ? Asher basher has new sole ?
Chines tell you this but no listen . You think Asher Basher has new sole? Time for Seals to swim in and bang bang .
Its also achieved mass artillery of the kind you protest so regularly about against palestinians. Yay. What is this own version of democracy you mention? By the way what do you think of the free syrian army? Good thing or not?
Has the Constitution been published? I'd like to see it. Mostly I wonder if there will be term limits.
It could only be the latter and even then there is no certainty. If I remember rightly, Stalin had a penchant for disposing of those who were his fervent supporters.
LOL @ these "elections". Obviously is just political theater set up by Assad in order to play up the act that he is not a brutal dictator. Seeing as how Syria only has one political party and outlaws any formation of opposing political factions, I would suspect that Assad gets "re-elected" by a very high margin of votes.
Say what!!!???... Senators: U.S. indirectly funding Syrian military March 14th, 2012 - Angered by Russia's refusal to stop selling arms to the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, U.S. lawmakers are urging the Defense Department to halt U.S. purchases of Russian helicopters and parts for the Afghan air force. See also: Russia says it will keep selling weapons to Syria March 13, 2012 | Russia and the United States have failed to narrow their differences over a planned U.S. missile shield and stand practically no chance of reaching a compromise at the NATO summit in Chicago in May, a top Russian official said Tuesday.
You mean that foreign agents couldn't provide enough arms for the revolutionaries to match those of the government ? Sure, and the government has been fighting for its life- as you'd expect in any civil war. Do I support the government ? No. Do I support the revolutionaries ? No. It's hard to predict. What it won't be is that a military-industrial complex sets up two ' opposing ' parties to give the illusion of choice and that candidates are bought by billionaire Zionists . There has to be a better way. Are you kidding ? Behind the Western media saturation of brave Syrian civilians battling a ruthless regime are tales from elsewhere of criminal gangs of deserters executing government supporters en masse and ruling over enclaves of terrified people by fear. What's to support ? Their instructions are ' no dialogue ' with Assad. That's a very dumb method of ' progress '. Again- the genuine dissenters have achieved a new Constitution and elections in May. That's a victory. Even the hundreds of thousands of pro-Assad supporters in the streets, that the Western media don't show, want that . It will put Syria higher on the ' democratic scale ' than, say, Bahrain or Saudi Arabia- both close tyrannical allies of the UK and the US of AIPAC. Some dumb folk are, clearly, disappointed that the Syrian government leadership won't be tortured and brutally hung, as was the case in Iraq, or murdered in cold blood in the street , as was the case in Lybia. The US of AIPAC is disappointed that it can't openly bomb yet another regional opponent of Zionism and open the way to attack Iran- the big prize. The best way to prevent that is for stability in Syria under its current leadership and the promise of reform. That's what is happening.
Actually you would not expect a government to fight for its life. You's expect it to be elected by the people.
correct BUT when you live in a region that the US and West gives total support to dictators you end up with BIG problems
The reforms look like they're going to happen. Why focus on the negative? Don't you want democratic reforms to be put into place?
Ah, you mean like in the white South Africa that you slipped away from ? The South Africans developed their own democracy- now Syria is on its own journey- and I doubt that it will resemble Germany very closely
As long as you are playing victim, you will never be free of BIG problems. No one is forcing Assad to hold on. No one forced Ghadaffi to hold on. Need I go on?
Actually the white government did not fight for its life. There was no civil war. Thanks for making my point. By the way I am loving Johannesburg. You really shouldn't assume you know anything of me.
