Exactly! Personally, I would never dream of separating families. The children should return to their homeland with their parents.

My neighbor is a convicted child molester. He has two children. When he was arrested and sent to prison, it broke up his family. Should we just let him loose? Or do we treat foreign law breakers differently from American lawbreakers?

 

Our borders are under attack and very few people care.

We used to be a country. Now we're just 3 million square miles and 300+ million people with nothing in common.

 

I know we are supposed to look at that face and feel sympathy. If I show you a picture of a puppy, will you give him a permanent home? We have thousands of children here in the US that will never see the inside of a loving home. Do you have room in your home for one of them? We didn't drag this poor child away from him parents.

 

He's adorable. And that doesn't mean that I'm responsible for him.

 

I don't need to take him in. He is with his mother. Pack them both up and send them back if you wish, but don't separate them just because they won't spend 25 billion on a wall.

 

Enough is enough. The population of the US has grown by nearly 100 million in the last 40 years and nearly all of it is due to immigrants. Now we have tent cities that run for miles. We have neighborhoods where hardly anyone speaks English. We have 10s of millions of people on welfare. Pollution is a bigger problem every year. Many communities lack enough water. The government keeps needing more money to care for them.

It is time to stop being the dumping ground for the worlds displaced.

Well obviously I was not meaning what you call heart if you're being serious. By heart I am meaning empathy. No person capable of empathy could do this to children never mind the parents. You are choosing to deliberately harm children because you believe that that will stop their parents bringing them to the US. There is no law making you do this. No one with empathy could leave a child in a cage for other children to change it's nappy. I thought that was in the quote I gave but I must have read it somewhere else or maybe it was on Newsnight. It takes a certain kind of person to deliberately harm children for any reason and that is what you American's who support this are choosing to do.

Well that is what I heard tonight. Children were being told how to change a babies nappy. Why on earth would you think that people who would put toddlers in a cage without any adults to look after them would not put babies...or maybe the child they were talking about was a toddler. There are other stories about babies being plucked from the mothers breasts and no not from England. I am from Scotland.

How are they harming the children? Looks like a summer camp to me. Kids playing soccer having fun. I noted they were all wearing new clothes and shoes, undoubtedly furnished by the American Tax Payer. Plenty of food, safe place to sleep. Much better than what they went through getting here. The only ones I saw in a cage were back from 2014 and Obama put them there. Of course you had no problem with that. Where was your empathy then?

Another question where is your empathy for the children of the drunk driver who killed a family of four. His children need him as well. How about the rapist. Or do you just pick the crime you have empathy for? Or is your empathy politically motivated?

No decent human being would do this to children all out of spite to harm the children to harm the parents so that everyone knows you are a brutal country with no humanity.
