McConnell is setting up Trump!

Sure whatever. Its going to work for our advantage regardless. I am saying its a whole lot better for everyone concerned except Trump, if McConnell waits until Schumer is taking over to do the heavy lifting here. Schumer is committed to having this trial, and McConnell is committed to waiting until Schumer can . In the process Trump has to wait for his verdict. McConnell has said he is going to decide how to vote, after the trial is over hearing the legal arguments,, and he is likely to carry several republican senators with him whichever way he goes. That leaves Trump to squirm, and to obsess, and fixate on the trial rather than what Joe Biden is doing as he solidifies control over the agencies, gather more intelligence on Trumps more radicalized followers.

The trial and its outcome dependent on McConnell and what he signals with his stance, is the only leverage anybody has over Trump, and extending that leverage three weeks or a month is a benefit to the country while Biden is getting his feet wet.
