Maybe I worded my post this was based on badly for commenting.

In most civilized societies those deemed unable to work due to infirmity, being an orphan or a widow with children were other cases would get help based on ones need Medicaid for me should fall under this standard does the person need it and will this group of people benefit and is it adequate but not so good as to be more appealing than other options. Medicaid in Florida is defined to the standard of need being a pregnant woman, child of a poor parent and those who are deemed disabled and unable to work. And the system works here due to the HMO based system and the state maintaining strong oversight, and the amount they get based on needs of the patient some get more money for those patients who will cost more to care for and vice versa.

My criticism is not those to the expansion its the adding to many people to strain a system that works but only as long as its kept under a system that is restrictive to entry. There are simply no way to add 800k people and keep access to those that need it right now to see a specialist in situation its not deemed urgent takes usually three weeks, if urgent it can take days since the HMO wants to keep me out of the hospital. Can I get that if its strained by thousands of more people?

But the poor need some kind of health care the issue is where, if you use Medicaid much needs to be addressed providers need to take people and there have to be some kind of cost controls in place like banning name brand drugs except antibiotics and the newer insulin types for diabetics (chronic illnesses with serious consequences if left untreated sorts of things) as one idea but wouldn't be popular for example it would be rationing.

If the statement that Medicaid has increased by 10 million is true(which I doubt), it is a sad state of affairs. Why? Because the Federal Government passed the PPACA legislation, not the States. Because the Medicaid program was not established to provide health insurance for those with jobs but who couldn't afford individual or family health insurance. The Federal Government promised those that couldn't afford insurance would be given a subsidy to help them pay for insurance. Now they have abandoned these people. Telling them to apply for their States Medicaid (welfare) program if their State expanded it. What a bunch of bull we were fed by the then Majority. Lie after lie. Only those few benefiting from the law are happy. Those who lost there affordable coverage, coverage that provided only the benefits they needed, are paying more or paying a penalty because they earn too much for a subsidy to help them pay for the higher premiums quoted them. And, those that earn too little, living in a State that didn't choose to expand their welfare insurance, are still uninsured. And, hospitals are still treating the uninsured and illegals, no change there. Only the big insurance companies are benefiting from the PPACA. Because we taxpayers are going to bail them out, pay them money to compensate for any losses they incur on their "exchange" policies.

Well Medicaid was not intended for able bodied people unless pregnant mothers during their pregnancy and some time after, children and poor elderly with joint programs with Medicare. Otherwise in Florida you must be on SSI to get into Medicaid and a SNAP Program also based on SSI determination along with other benefits what I call my "circle of welfare support" provided by taxpayers through the government so one must be deemed Disabled to the point one cannot provide for themselves. All fair I think as target groups. And Conservative people I know seem to accept some need for a welfare safety net to those that really are in need of such support. But it must be funded and this by taxpayers I get that and thank those people paying so I can get the help I need.

No one can still explain to me as someone on Traditional Medicaid how they could add in my State 800k+ people without a means to arrange for the needed providers since my access now is pretty good through my Medicaid HMO.

Medicaid expansion is good thing, may be some day all people become eligible for medicate and we can throw those blood sucker insurance companies out of business.
The only system that works is a single payer health care,
