I have nothing against their freedom of speech, its the fact that they make a point of traumatizing the families of dead soldiers. In my opinion that should not be protected speech, its would fall into the same category as fighting words.

That's great! She & her sister Grace were born and raised in this environment of hatred and this is proof that if a person has the right stuff in them, within time they'll recognize how wrong it is and break away... I had read some of the book "Addicted to Hate" about the Phelps family and 2 of Phelps sons left home, breaking off all ties - Phelps kids were raised in a home of horrific beatings by their dad and a mother who was never there to protect them.... Knowing the twisted hatred in that family, I hope Meghan & her sister can move on, living a good life w/o any retaliation and abuse from that cult....

Apparently you never paid any attention to them whereas the rest of the country did. They would show up at a soldier's funeral w/their filthy, vile signs to harass the soldier's families and it got to the point where a motorcycle club was formed called the Patriot Guards to run a buffer zone b/t the family and the cult cockroaches...... No one burying their dead should have to put up w/that unconscionable crap, but b/c of the 1st amendment, the cockroaches got by w/it.....
Yes, it is,,,, and I wish the very best to these 2 young women who have finally wised up to the hatred & ugliness they were born into and now want to escape from it....... But they'll probably have a rough time of it b/c of who they're turning their backs on....... I really can't imagine Fred & the rest of his cult wishing them best wishes w/hugs and kisses of goodbye.......
I disagree, all speech should be okay. Even if it's the most dispicable and offensive. Free speech is free speech...
