I can´t help but wonder how many Latin Americans

As if we´re aware of what is being said behind closed

Some 60 years ago Mexico and Singapore were in roughly the same spot re political corruption and economic output. What a vast difference in results after 6 decades. Singapore began a major anti-corruption campaign, while Mexico chose a massive pro-corruption campaign, and despite trillions in freebies and subsidies and millions of free jobs from the U.S. and Canada, is an even worse crap hole now than it was 60 years ago, while Singapore is among the top 10 least corrupt countries, 11 spots above the U.S., to our shame, at Number 7 to our Number 18.

 

My single biggest question concerning illegal immigration from Mexico has always been why don't they stay in their own country and work to improve it? Does Mexico HAVE to be a pit of poverty, drugs and corruption?

The big argument for letting them in is how hard they work and their noble goal of better lives for their families.

If they are so hard working and a people of such high caliber, why can't they stay and fix their own country and be a true ally and partner of the U.S.?

 

It's unfair to ask rational questions.

For some years I studied the Mexican Revolution, the first social revolution. Although repeatedly promised "land reform", it never happened due to their leaders either being corrupted or shot.
