Mexico deploys military to curb migration, reportedly offers major concessions as Trump tariffs loom

Ah hem, if illegal immigration is at its highest, then Trump hasn't done what he said he would do. It took him just shy of 30 months to figure it out, he should work with Mexico to help stop the illegal immigration; I guess this is an euraka moment for him.

 

The action he took was opposed by liberals because liberals opposed all his other actions.

 

It gets even hotter and drier out here.

We will know this when reports of dead children start to trickle in.

They even put up drinking water locations for illegals.

 

I went to school in Flagstaff where it can get really cold...weird thing about living on top of a mountain..it doesn't just snow it literally dumps the snow all at once on you.

There is no trickle.

But that does not compare to the intensity of the pure heat down here....you can survive the cold but this heat, in midsummer will just sneak up on you. It's only a couple of months where it's dangerous but boy oh boy, you don't want to be out there in that for very long.

When I first came down here I was laughing at people wearing long sleeves in 120 degree heat but now I know why.

Well useless or not, his over use of executive orders flies in the face of abuse of powers. If a Democrat did it, every snowflake trump supporter would have their panties in a twist.

But we're going to reelect Trump so he can do what he says he will do. We are on the right side of history with stopping illegal aliens from breaking the law by crossing the southern border.

The wall should have been completed except for the democrat resistance, and there should have been no need to threaten tariffs on Mexico.

 

Obviously this is a temporary band-aid, but it's one that's worked. I'm not sure why you seem to think it's a bad thing.

 

I didn't know a country had to declare itself "safe." When did we do that for our country?

 

Well, we still, so far, have less lawlessness than that shithole Mexico.

But the USA is not a safe country to live in.

I keep reading that somebody or somebodies in the USA is/are funding the migration from Central America to the USA. Given the extreme hazards for the people, most especially woman and children, this is unconscionable and I hope our Justice Dept. is looking into that. There must be some law--sedition?--to hold such evil people accountable?

Mexico has a situation too. Their southern border with Guatemala is 156 miles long which is manageable. Their southern border with Belize is 541 miles long which is a lot tougher, though not as tough as guarding our roughly 2000 mile southern border with Mexico. But will the organizers of the onslaught now start routing them through Belize? Will Belize allow that?

But if Mexico really makes an honest effort to enforce its own immigration laws and stop the flood of people, that's a great start.

In addition:

We need the physical barrier wherever practical

We need our own immigration laws and amnesty laws changed immediately to make being here much less attractive to illegals:
--no automatic citizenship by being born here
--no chain migration
--other than immediate humanitarian aid, no public services provided

And make it 100% illegal with severe punishment for Americans to encourage, invite, or fund illegal immigration.

And alas, the Democrats won't even see the problem, let alone help solve it.

 

Trump does nothing through Congress even when Republicans controlled the House.

Trump is the reason so many are coming, he advertised to the world how to come here - now we have more coming here under Trump then ever before

Trump created a problem and is now trying to clean up his own mess

people have always came here asking for asylum, just because of Trump, now many more are doing it, more then we can handle

 

Trump doesn't even honor Americans word, to Trump a deal is meant to be broken, not honored

 

Again the illegals are still coming across more so this year. Walls are a waste of time and money. If you ever been out there, there is nothing but prairie desert. In addition we already have military bases that can be used to drone surveillance with a rapid response team. An air defense school and a signal school in those military bases.

If Trump supporters actually had one effing clue I would not have to constantly repeat these facts.

Trump is in it for himself. He cares more about his image than anything else.
