Midterm elections: Fox News viewership crushes ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN with 7.7 million primetime

    Fox News Channel’s primetime coverage of Election Night 2022 crushed all broadcast and cable television networks, outdrawing ABC, NBC and CBS in addition to MSNBC and CNN. …



    …MSNBC averaged three million viewers and CNN settled for 2.5 million. Among broadcast options, NBC averaged 3.1 million viewers, ABC averaged three million and CBS managed 2.5 million.

    Brit Hume, Martha MacCallum, Bret Baier and Dana Perino helped Fox News crush ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN viewership. (FOX)
    Fox News also demolished all competitors among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults age 25-54, averaging 1.8 million viewers in the critical category. NBC finished second with a little over one-million demo viewers to top the broadcast outlets, while CNN managed 982,000 demo viewers to top MSNBC’S 747,000.

    Fox News also dominated Election Night when expanding to the entire 6 p.m. ET to 2 a.m. ET window, averaging 5.4 million viewers compared to 2.6 million for MSNBC and 1.9 million for CNN. It was the first time in television history that CNN finished dead last in midterm election coverage among the three relevant networks. …

    it deserves some reward. Fox News did better work today, clearly identifying the total rebuke of Donald Trump that voters delivered. Trump is being torn from limb to limb by conservatives, republicans and Fox News as a LOSER, and nearly 250 lbs of of dead weight hanging around the neck of the entire party and its actually getting due press coverage. I am sure you are completely on board their coverage of all these missed opportunities, thanks to Donnie Dark.

    It's not even guaranteed repubs take the house, and even if they do it would be a slim margin. Historically, the incumbent president's party loses big in midterms. trump lost 40 seats in 2018. Dems won't lose close to that.

    Oh my! You mean Republicans barely taking the house after massively gerrymandering districts around the nation during the current economic and political climate?

    The only interesting thing here is y’all did so poorly totally demolishing the trend that we have seen for the last dozen or so election cycles.

    2024 will see tens of thousands of new young voters and tens of thousands of permanently retiring elderly voters — and likely a better economy.
