We get a twisted kick out of the entire clown car Republican candidate list. It is either that or cry for a country that could produce such a pathetic list of possible Presidents.

I always read links before I bother clicking... and while I don't automatically believe sites like Lifesite, or CNS, etc.... I basically know Salon and Rawstory are lying.

And yes... the sheep eat it up and run here to post it

So if you were falsely sent to prison, you'd be cool with it because it's not actually punishment, right?

Again, I love to see Rightwingers admit they don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about freedom given that losing it isn't a punishment in their minds.

So instead of admitting the hit piece is based on a lie you still defend it to the point of calling Brutha a rightwinger.... Talk about desperate....

See the difference is i did listen to it. I have commented on it.. Unlike the "author" who repeats another authors thoughts that he "seemingly" said something.. You bought a lie and now like a hooked fish you cant let go....

    Huckabee said:

“Sometimes the best way to deal with a nonviolent criminal behavior is what you just suggested, make them pay back”

But your site edited out the last 4 words and added their own:

“Sometimes the best way to deal with a nonviolent criminal behavior is what you just suggested” — which was, of course, biblical slavery.

Why does Salon remove the context of his comment, and tell the readers what they should get from the story?
Why does Salon think so little of it's fans.. and how stupid they must be to fall for this and create threads over it?

Huckabee didn't and doesn't support slavery.

Salon and you are lying about what he said.

Salon's mistake was including the actual audio.

Luckily for them, some here would rather trust Salon instead of listening to it.

"Making them pay back" in the context of the conversation he was having was via slavery.

    Lol, yes.... of course.

I'll trust you and Salon with "in the context of..."

As the conversation in the audio started with paying back the money.

    ffs...

Yes when you steal something the concept of paying it back is common sense. Working to pay something back is not slavery. "Slavery" in this context comes from ThinkProgress not Huckabee...

Then you are stating that the two persons are clueless about our current prison policy. there is always a choice, even in prison. If a person steals from soneone, there is a good chance that retribution would be added to the prison sentence. This is especially true with white collar crimes such as embezzlement (stealing), tax fraud (stealing), or mail fraud (stealing). If a person commits agravated robbery and the merchandize is not recovered, the state may impose fines and/or retribution in addition to the prison sentence.

Even after serving time in prison, the chances of obtaining a job is slim. Available job options may include independent truck driving or manual labor jobs that do not require background checks. These jobs do not exactly offer incentive for a person to go straight, but nevertheless, it is still a choice. Is it not?

What the radio talk show host was doing, with Gov Huckabee "agreeing" is to lay blame to a group and then offer a "solution" that neither is pragmatic or condusive to the complex issue at hand. Endorsing slavery for political purposes, which is what Jan Mickelson and David Barton have done, is to show the utter contempt for what this nation has fought for to change for a better future. None of these guys should be taken seriuosly at all and simply ingored.

If you were falsely sent to prison it is an injustice and of course I wouldn't be cool with someone being falsely imprisoned. I am speaking of the folks who are in prison for BREAKING the Law. Is that starting to make sense too you now.

Now I am a Right winger, because I want to see folks who break the law punished. Ok a Right winger it is.
