Independent: Mike Pence shares 9/11 conspiracy theory about Qassem Soleimani in attempt to justify assassination
    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...conspiracy-theory-assassination-a9270271.html

"Mike Pence has promoted an unsubstantiated theory linking the 9/11 terrorist attacks to Iran in his defence of the Trump administration’s assassination of Qassem Soleimani. ...

In the thread, Mr Pence claimed Soleimani had “assisted in the clandestine travel to Afghanistan of 10 of the 12 terrorists who carried out the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States”.

However, his accusation is undermined by the conclusions of the official government report on the attacks.

The 9/11 commission report found “no evidence that Iran or Hezbollah was aware of the planning for what later became the 9/11 attack.”"

Pence is right, in a way.

The Saudis ordered 9/11 to punish the US for not going after the Iraqis, Iranians etc. hard enough.

What else are the Saudis paying $100s of billions to the US for, if not to keep their regional rivals in check?

    There’s a Saudi-US customer-servant financial deal which includes security.

If you don’t believe that the Saudis ordered 9/11, just ask Jamal Khashoggi ... no wait, too late for that! ;)

See Wikipedia - "Alleged Saudi role in September 11 attacks"

So there is indeed a relationship between Iran and 9/11 but the whole truth is rather too embarrassing for the US to admit, officially.

Anyway, good job, Mr President on taking out Soleimani! He wasn't directly responsible for 9/11 but he sure was guilty of plenty of other state-sponsored terrorist crimes, so justice done.

~ It is difficult for some to see the USA actually stand up for itself after being passive for too long. The Democrats and American "news" media are often the worst enemy from within. :disbelief:

Yes that stupid Obama negotiated an agreement with Iran that stopped whatever nuclear program they supposedly had and Trump threw it up because he could do much better and here we are.

And then we have Bush with his totally phony war.

The war was not phony - it was a real war. It is the justification for the war that was phony.

Your justification "vile dictator" is also phony - so phony that not even the Bush Admin used it as a justification.

The idea that we had some intention of installing a free and democratic regime is laughable nonsense - and a phony justification also so phony that it was not used by the Bush admin.

Seems you been ingesting too much of the Propaganda Koolaid :)

The argument wasn't whether or not Bush did not view Saddam as a vile dictator - it is about whether or not some leader being a vile dictator constitutes justification for invasion of sovereign nation.

And this was not one of the justifications given - as in before the UN Security council - because that stuff doesn't fly. It is a "Phony Justification" = not valid, illegitimate.

Methinks it is you who has drank to much Koolaid - as this has nothing to do with Iran.

Iran is the only treat to Israel, neither Europa nor USA are directly affected.
Now Iran is gonna make its own nuke and no one can stop it.
Trump is probably good for stock exchange, but not for the world politic.

Who cares, one less human butchering piece of rat feces off the planet. Next? Go big or go home—take out the flea Khamenei, and his fellow vermin, the Assembly of Experts, and rid the world of these bed bugs. Human existence will improve immensely. Try it, we’ll like it.

I think President Trump likes doing business with the Saudi butchers. Would you vote for a president who wanted to go so big as to take out the Saudis too? Would you like that?

We've had the Gulf War (1991), Afghanistan (2001-today), the Iraq War (2003-2011), the war against ISIL (2014-2019, with possibility of continuing) over the past three decades. Is that what you call "passive"?

Iran have given Al Qaeda sanctuary in the past we know this it is not new information...

America was already at war, it was just not conventional. During the Obama Administration the tactic was to ignore it, Trump Administration tactics are to address it. It may suit people better to ignore it but it certainly doesn't protect you.

It is done, QS have been martyred and the US is responding to what they believe may come next.

It takes an absolute dumb butt racist to not understand the difference between a Shia and a Sunni and the difference between an Arab and a Persian.

Sebastian Gorka: A Hungarian white supremacist and alt-right extremist who was an advisor to Trump and forced out of the White House by John Kelly just one week to the day that Steve Bannon was forced out of the White House.

Gorka has been seen in photos wearing a medal from Vitézi Rend, a Hungarian group with historical links to Nazi Germany. He claimed he only wore the medal to honour his father and has denied accusations of antisemitism. (yeah, right)

We should trust or listen to anything Sebastian Gorka says....why?

    Sigh.
What "we know" (but which may be "new information" to some ) is that "Al Qaeda" was trained in Afghanistan (then under Taliban rule) by PAKISTAN which was a military dictatorship at the time but Al Qaeda was funded by the oil-rich Saudis and allied Arab kingdoms.

Remember that Bin Laden (who was the Al Qaeda mastermind) was discovered in a safe house about a mile from the Pakistani equivalent of West Point - their military academy.

The full truth about Pakistan being caught red-handed training and supplying the Taliban to attack American soldiers in Afghanistan was revealed in a BBC Panorama documentary called "Secret Pakistan", in 2-parts.

    Part 1 - Double Cross

    Part 2 - Backlash

The reason that Americans are reluctant to admit the truth about the Saudi's and Pakistan's responsibility for 9/11 is that the Saudis are rich customers of American businesses and Pakistan helped train and supply the Afghan anti-Soviet rebels.

The reason that Americans want to blame Iraq and Iran is that they have had more obvious past disagreements with Iraq - a previous war to kick Saddam's forces out of Kuwait and the American diplomats who were taken hostage in Tehran.

Americans allow their past disagreements with Iran and Iraq and their past military cooperation with Pakistan and their profitable business deals with Saudi Arabia today to cloud their judgement and ignore intelligence reports pointing the finger of blame squarely at Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

So for one reason or another, America wants to blame the wrong people for 9/11.

The Saudis wanted 9/11 done precisely to provoke the US into doing the Saudis bidding - to crack down on Saudi regional rivals - Saddam Hussein and Iran.

The Saudis see Americans as their servants, which from a business point of view they are.

So when the Americans didn't crack down hard enough on Saddam, the Saudis wanted to give their American servants a good beating, hence the Saudis ordered 9/11, but the Saudis got Bin Laden and Pakistan to organise it so that Saudi Arabia could escape blame for the beating they wanted to give their servants, America.

Many American billionaires, like Trump, keep wanting to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the truth about the Saudis, because there are big profits to be made in business deals with Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich gulf kingdoms.

I'm not passing judgement on Trump or the Americans who vote for him. If Americans are happy, I am happy.

All I will say is that Condoleezza Rice and many Americans were very much offended by the 9/11 attack and want justice for the deaths of innocents that were caused, whomsoever was responsible.

No need to support and justify further, he must be eliminated but still a lot could still take his place, the main problem is how to end this proxy war that Iran is waging.

We started an unnecessary 12 year war under the pretense that there were biological weapons... there were none.
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...al-us-public-were-misled-about-unwinnable-war

How about — we stay the **** out of interfering with other nations?
We are obviously bad at it.
