People on this forum are here because they are interested in politics and world affairs. The average American's knowledge of geography and other nations in general is really quite shocking to say the least.

Wanting to know about Obama's past is something that all presidential candidates have gone through, its just that with Obama, no one knows about his schools, his grades, or his friends, well because they have been kept from common knowledge.

 

Stupid crap that somebody did in high school doesn't show anything useful about "policies for the present and future". Deliberately and methodically hiding and obscuring the trail and events of one's entire life when one is well into his 40's is a different issue altogether. To paraphrase Santayana, if we know little or nothing about the important parts of a person's past, we won't understand the important parts of what that person does in the present, and, we are unlikely to be able to understand what that person will do in the future.

Let's go back into Comrade Obama's past and put all of it on display: an "undoctored", unlayered simple direct copy of his birth certificate; a rational explanation for how he got that Social Security number from Connecticut; a rational explanation for the fraudulent representation he turned into the Selective Service System; his school records, his transcripts, his grades. ANYTHING that is verifiable and proven about Barack Obama would be amazing! It would be remarkable if any of these things ever sees the light of day!

I know President Obama's GRANDFATHER'S life story thanks to crazy right wingers obsessing about the fact the presidents relatives came from Africa. I couldn't even name the grandfather of ANY other US president. So to me that post is a LIE.

I got into some fights when I was in high school. I am decades away from being 65 and I couldn't tell you why any of those fights occurred. And I certainly wouldn't go onto TV to apologize for them. If someone is still butthurt about a mean spirited prank in high school when they are 65 that would reflect more of a problem with themselves vs the bully.

 

Thats not true at all.. We know a great deal about Obama, but so many ignorant American's have never lived overseas or traveled so they imagine what they can't comprehend and haven't experienced... and then there is that huge problem with reading comprehension.

Also I am not denying that someone could get expelled for such behavior but the problem with a lot of bullying is no one talks. I am also not condoning the behavior. What I'm saying is his behavior 50 years ago is irrelevant. Robert Byrd was in the KKK decades ago and he endorsed the first black president. If this happened 20 years ago I would react completely differently.
