    Texas Rep. Ron Paul on Monday announced that five distant relatives of rival Mitt Romney’s family are endorsing his Republican presidential campaign.

    A news release from the Paul campaign boasts of having the support of Ty Romney, Travis Romney, Chad Romney, Jared Romney and Troy Romney. Three of the Romneys — who live in Idaho — will speak on Paul’s behalf during the state’s caucuses on Tuesday.

    “I support Ron Paul because he defends the Constitution, loves America and understands what it means to be an American, including the right to live your life any way you want as long as you respect others,” said chiropractor Travis Romney, a second cousin once removed from Mitt Romney.

    This isn’t the first time a family member of one of Paul’s rivals announced support for the libertarian-leaning candidate from Texas. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s nephew, John Garver, penned a column for The Daily Caller endorsing Paul.

    Any idea of the size of Romney's extended family ?

    Paul making a deal of this is like a dog scratching at fleas.
    Like feas..Paulbots never seem to go away.
    The won every straw poll ever held last summer..and I debated it was just like last time...just to allow Paul a great year long vacation..

    He can say anything he wants and nobody cares..:disbelief:
    Even Obama must be Jealous.

    The POINT is that this very thread is STUPID.

    I'd venture a guess that, if you looked long and hard enough, you could find some of Ron Paul's distant relatives who are supporting Mitt Romney.

    Would you start a thread about THAT? Of course not!

    Why not just admit that this whole thread is STUPID. I know that you worship Ron Paul, and you think it should be international news that some of Mitt Romney's DISTANT RELATIVES support him, but this news is STUPID.

    Look long and hard enough, and I bet you'll find some of Ron Paul's distant relatives who can be heard saying that Ron Paul is crazy. Would THAT be news?

    Well, there are 5.5 Million Mormons living in the United States. I'd bet that there are at least 50 of them who will vote for Ron Paul - and we ALL know that THAT is HUGE NEWS!

    Not only does it endorse Paul but it's sent money to his campaign. And he's accepted it. Add to that Paul's involvement with his racist newsletter and I'd say that Paul has an image problem.

    That's one of MANY "problems" that Ron Paul has!

    So he's got 2-3 of Romney's distant relatives supporting him. WooHoo! He's also got MILLIONS of people who are too smart to support him.
