I’m not condoning what happened at the capitol and I think a president’s words carry weight. What happened at the capitol is wrong.

For me, there is not much difference between the left-wing fringe that lit police stations on fire, tried to light a federal courthouse on fire, occupied two cities, looted and engaged in violence, than what those people did at the capitol. There's not much of a difference at all and it should all be condemned. We watched the media and elected officials give a pass to the left for 4 years . Not my president, boycotting the president's inaugural, fires in Washington .accosting diners and members of Congress with threats of violence, silencing opposing views and the press never really condemned it. They basically said it's ok because it’s for social justice and what a bad POTUS Trump is. Four years added up to this. When there's one fringe, there is going to be another fringe and one can only poke the bear so many times before it attacks.

 

I agree that there is not much difference between the fringe right and fringe left.

The few BLM protests (7%) that broke out into violence are to be condemned and the rioters prosecuted, which I believe is happening. And I realize many trumpians will be shocked by this, but the vast majority of AMERICANS reject violent behavior and cndemn
riots. The VAST MAJORITY, despite the impressions based on screaming media and pundits.

As for your bear analogy. The neo nazis, white nationalists and hard core racists that formed the core of the rioters are not "bears", they are the slime mold of society. They were there in force and their voices predominated over the ordinary 'trumpian gullible" who actually believed the Big Lie their dear leader was shovelling and were caught up in it.

Trump isn't a bad POTUS. He's the worst in history.

Their are wishes and then their are realities. Considering impeachment has a prescribed process, one where a defense is allowed to be presented, the only way it could realistically happen, is to suspend the process. Ain’t going to happen.

 

Once started, there is nothing in the Constitution that says the impeachment process has to conclude before the defendant leaves office. That process
is up to the Senate as described in the Constitution.
