You must really hate yourself, dairyair, I almost wonder why................NOT!!! I can guess why. I can guess why you hate that I so strongly advocate chastity. Doesn't it embarrass you???? Take a good LOOOONG look in the mirror.
So if you do not need the Bible, where does the unperverted Christianity come from? And if you are a purist, why are you so intolerant and ignorant towards everybody? Where does this type of behaviour fit into Christianity?
God always does. Anyway, the lessons have already been learned by man when man sees himself equal to, or worse, ABOVE God's Word and Law. It seems that Americans are set to repeat many of these mistakes of the past..................... and the costs are expected to be the same as before.
Truly interpreting the lessons of Christ. I'm not ignorant or intolerant. Atheists are much more ignorant and intolerant than I am. I only seem harsh and foul, because there are so many atheists, and so few TRUE CHRISTIANS today. If there were more TRUE CHRISTIANS, then I wouldn't seem so harsh and foul.
Render unto Cæsar what is his, and render unto God what is His. Man's law is flawed, as the faculties and knowledge of man is flawed. God is not flawed. God is perfect. Why is this so difficult for you to understand? Man makes MISTAKES with morals, and everything. God's Laws are PERMANENT and PERFECT. God is universal, objectively true, MORAL LAW.
But... Those lessons come from the Bible. Sure you are. You just said earlier you will not answer my questions until I convert to Christianity, even against my will. Just look at your posts in this thread. It doesn't get more ignorant than that. Some can be, true, but comparing yourself to a greater evil doesn't make you an angel. Just the lesser of two evils. Then there are Athiest who are much more tolerant than you, making you the greater evil. See what I'm saying. No, you seem harsh and foul because of how you interact with other people on this forum. That doesn't make sense. You would likely still think the same. Therefore you'd be just as harsh and foul as you already are. Only there would be more of you, making it even worse.
I think it's sad that some sects of Christianity have gone to such extremes like this. Do you think the Binding of Isaac is relevant to this? Maybe they just view their Earthly losses as a test to their faith the same way Abraham did when God took everything from him and almost took his son from him...
That doesn't address what I said. If God wills the state be morally responsible, it will be, and it'll be successful at that , no? Wait, so what you want is a state that has no laws? You want to keep Church and state separate, let yet the Church make the laws? Is that right or am I wrong?
The only thing you can do I find these days is report those off-topic posts and encourage others not to reply to the off-topic comments that way the mods have less work to do and the thread gets back on track.
Yes, OJELB kept asking me off topic questions. But I'll quit answering them on this thread. Nobody likes a snitch.
*shrugs* I didn't read through the whole thread, I was simply responding to another poster's comment and I didn't name names, I merely suggested he report all of the off-topic comments. How can it be 'snitching' when a mod could just as easily enter the thread and see everything here for themselves? That's a rather childish and bullying comment to make.
Well here is my original post in this thread after I read the OP. I think it's sad that some sects of Christianity have gone to such extremes like this. Do you think the Binding of Isaac is relevant to this? Maybe they just view their Earthly losses as a test to their faith the same way Abraham did when God took everything from him and almost took his son from him...
I asked myself the very same question and had a look at these guys churches website: http://www.fcgchurch.org/Messages/Pages/Healing - from God or Medicine.html Seems that your assumption is right: they grossly misunderstand some verses about the healing of Jesus etc. to mean that it would be some sort of betrayal/lack of faith to seek medical help. This just goes to show how some people, who claim that the Bible is the verbally inspired word of God that’s to be taken literally, show an astonishing disinterest to actually read it and combine this with a stunning willingness to mistake their personal interpretation of the bits they have read for a literal reading, when indeed nowhere in the Bible does it literally say that you must not seek medical help. And if they had read all of the Bible, surely they ought to have stumbled over Colossians 4:14, that tells us that the alleged author of the Gospel of Luke and Acts was a physician himself. It's tragic really that such ignorance and misunderstandings led to these poor kids death.
Their religous rights end at the rights of the child to health and life. Lock em up, throw away the key.
