Doesn't the child have any say in whether he gets part of his reproductive organ permanently cut off? I can clearly remember when I was 3 years old. I was fully conscious and able to make basic decisions for myself. It's not as if a 4 year old doesn't know what's going on. If I was that mother, I'd probably run away with my child too. This is evil. Parents should not be able to force circumcision on their child. By the time the child is FOUR years old, it is too LATE to even be thinking about this. What's next? Forced circumcision on 16 year olds? If the child consents to the circumcision, that's a totally different story, but there's no indications that is the case here. If the father get's a hold of the child, he's basically going to take the child to the hospital and they're going to hold the child down against his will and put an anesthetic mask over his face that will make him pass out. Anyone who forces a 4 year old to be circumcised deserves... well, I can't say here.
Circumnsion doesnt cause horrible damage to the body like the fgm that happens in africa and middle eastern countries (VICE news did a documentary on that, and the restoration). Whats the point of circumcision reversion surgery?
What if they just cut out the little girl's labia minora? That's basically the female equivalent of the foreskin. Did you know that the male foreskin actually has more sensitive nerve endings than the female clitoris? Indeed. There is no surgery that can fully restore it exactly like it was before. Surgery cannot bring back the part of the foreskin called the ridged band, which has a high concentration of sensitive nerve endings.
Actually the clitoral hood is more akin to the foreskin than the labia minora. Just sayin' Getting back on subject, it smacks of the ex-husband getting back at his ex-wife without any consideration for the boy.
