I have been there a couple of times.. They do look like hoof prints but who knows.

The point of this thread is that before Herod expanded the temple mount is was much smaller. It was basically the eastern ridge. The dates of the expansion when those HUGE stones were laid was 21 BC (must check the date) and that was the Roman garrison which also included a Roman bakery..

It should also be noted that there wasn't a whole legion in Jerusalem in Jerusalem... most were stationed in Syria... so only 600 were in Jerusalem and they were foot soldiers. Solomon's Stables was underground storage not horse stables.

just because the Romans used the site as a garrison does not negate the holyness of the site.

if I spit on Al Aqsa and use it as a toilet, is it no longer holy?

if I vomit on the Kabaa in Mecca, does that make it no longer holy?

If you consider Fortress Antonia "holy" its fine with me.. Tradition is more important than facts for most religious people.

    now you're just trolling.

the Western Wall is the western retaining wall for the Temple Mount.

    thats its sole purpose.

    now stop insulting my religion.

Good that the honest and proud Muslims in 1950 and 1925 admitted and acknowledged that the 2nd Jewish Temple stood on the Temple Mount.

too bad hatred and bigotry took over since then, as many of them now deny the facts.

Fortress Antonia was to the north of the Temple Mount, not on it

Since it's been about 40 years since another old torah was stolen & in all probability burned in what is supposedly one nation under God as a list of the anti-Israel agenda seems no longer limited by "Never Again" after WW II, it's only fitting to rebuild the Temple as an 'in your face' since Palestinians, Arabs & Islam gave limited assistance if any at all finding Arab terrorists that threatened POTUS & to nuke Temple Mount prior to 9/11 conspiring with the drug trafficking Christian Nation of the US, which did nothing to stop running it's obsessive-compulsive second coming of Christ 21st century Fourth Reich making "serve the Pope or die" law of the land to further the space race pyramid scheme survival of the fittest fascists IslamoNazi security; where space is the place for the human race, fried & freeze dried all over the place from radiation; which is not all that different from decades old KKK churchstate preplanned nuclear destruction of Israel rendering it a nuclear wasteland just as a Papal entourage of Islam Christiananality pedophiles which steal & burn a bereavement memorial to JFK then baptize eyes by urinations & is higher than SCOTUS, which chose to hold nuclear extermination over Israel for 6 million plus lost in the Holocaust with a Rosenberg syndrome decision creating a supreme swastika up Uranus crusade as "man is God" to steal & burn old testaments so their race for space master plan of stealing & burning US Constitutions & old glories would only be controlled by an Islamidiotocracy Reichquest of immaculate conceptions & fabricated misnomer pseudo science for yet another master race of it's only business; just to put religion in their cross conditioned way beyond therapy for centuries & thousands of years suicidal super ego homicidal sociopsychopaths leaving their status quo still celebrating deaths thru controlling ancient ruins while continuing a megalomaniacal sociopsychological human farming practice evolved from Pharaohs building flying rock pyramids to the stars; now just a one sided Islam-Christiananality pedophile mentality of nuclear destruction for all by radiation as a Christian sanctioned business death to the infidels Islam jihad national religion in a not so mutual destruction as if they don't get their way more lynching enforcement.

    Wow!

That is actually a pretty serious step toward genuine peace in the Middle East.

Considering that you know about this aspect of the formula.... what do you personally think of the Gihon Spring theory put forward by......... Ernest Martin..... I will google that to see if I have the name right......

Basically.... this means that there is all kinds of room on the Temple Mount for the Al Aqsa Mosque.... the Dome of the Rock AND THE THIRD TEMPLE........

I hope no one is under the impression (from your post) that Haram al Sharif pre-dates either Jewish Temple. It was built app 1200 years later than the Second Jewish Temple.

Benjamin Mazar is quite right. The location of the tamples were where Mazar said it was. The Rock of the Dome is the holliest of places, in the time of the tamples, and Al-Aqsa is only the area that serounded the holliest place for the Jews, which is Stone of Drink.
The Stone of Drink is the holliest of places for the Jews because there, like it believed, was the palce where Binding of Isaac (just to make it clear, the binding of Ishmael, like the Muslims belive, happened in Mecca).

Just to make the record straight, the al-Aqsa mosque was built on hte ruins of the tample mount, in it's early existance, and that's why it was destroyed multiple of times due to earthquakes. The al-Aqsa mosque, as it is built today, was built in 715. several years after the death of Muhammad. therefore, al-Aqsa is not a holy place for the Muslims. The year of the founding of al-Aqsa (715 AD) is also written in the mosque itself.

Also, regarding the third tample, I hope it never will happen, since the existance of the tample would retrieve pagan costums, such as killing animals for god, so god will smell the burnt corpse of the animal.

    Solomon is an Islamic prophet.
Who do you think Suleman the Great was named after?

    Yes. I know..

The Treaty of Omar references the site of what was once the Temple. By time the Muslims arrived it had long lain in ruins.
