Yep... FSU has risen to the top-tier ranks in CFB -- since getting Bobby Bowden to come south from the state of Alabama to build a football program there. It was a smart move on Bobby's part to bring Jimbo Fisher, a Samford University alum, in to take over for him when he retired. Fisher almost wound up coaching the UAB Blazers.

State of Alabama: You're welcome, FSU.

It's neat to look back at a coaching tree.

    hmm

    what to watch this weekend

We have Bama taking on that ever dangerous Western Carolina or Oregon will have a tough challenge from Colorado

FSU will be challenged by that high flying, hard hitting BC.

Seems like a good Saturday to start hanging Christmas lights

UT vs Mizzou is probably the biggest (most important) game.

I'm going to Tally for the BC game though.

My record at games I've personally attended.... 35-1 with the one loss coming on Jan 4, 1999 to Tennessee......

It would seem they brought it.

Bama's own offense gave them more trouble last night than did Ohio State's. Hard to win when you keep throwing the ball to the other guys. ;)

Outside of the Hail Mary that was picked off at the end of the game, OSU and Bama both had the same amount of turnovers. It says something when OSU's 3rd string QB is better than Bamas starter.

Alabama lost because they couldn't get OSU off the field on third down and gave up to many big plays.

When the game ends with a seven point scoring differential, then I consider those interceptions critical. Yes, OSU also had some turnovers. It was a close game and OSU certainly deserved to win it. I would have expected a better performance from Bama's defense, but their offense didn't play very well either. Congrats to the Buckeyes and best of luck in Jerry World.
