Hey my first post on this site and I wanted to share some of my views and concerns on various issues. Feel free to comment if you have any constructive criticism. Constitution A new amendment called the privacy act that calls for the reorganization and abolition of the patriot act that stops the mass collection of personal data by private and governmental organizations. This along with the abolition of mass surveillance including updates to the F.I.S.A which should be agreed upon by current lawmakers of the United States government reflecting the concerns of this countries current population. Also an updated U.S. constitution that uses current American English for the purpose of proper interpretation. Also an amendment that gives every United States citizen the right to work where automatically upon reaching working age one is given optional employment opportunities. Also participation within the amendments initiative be deemed optional. Taxes A new tax structure that has a reformed and corrected proportional percentage of a fair nature based on incomes with a clear and simple paperwork structure. An idea of mine is to allow an amount by persons who are working citizens of the United States be allotted towards stocks, shares, Treasury bonds, trusts and bank accounts that possibly accrue interest for their selves or their children. This which their children may not utilize until they have achieved an associates degree in higher education. All those that take advantage of our tax deduction system by writing off charitable donations along with those in the high earning tax bracket should not enjoy the ease of ability to utilize such deductions for further monetary gain, this also including subsidies derived from the United States government to private large corporations and businesses. Economy There is a need for more twenty four hour businesses and the easing of local ordinances to do so that those in need of employment and those in need of products may be satisfied. Abandoned and condemned spaces should be utilized for publicly owned businesses. Also the United States and its largest and wealthiest private businesses should be required by law to hold its headquarters and important operations within the United States on its soil. If a company so important and large to the U.S. economy in monetary value should decide to leave the United States in whole or in most part such company should face a large fine equal to a large portion of its net worth. This unless it be properly negotiated and agreed upon by the United States Congress signed by the president and approved by the U.S. Supreme Court within the same or more strict fashion and processes as a monopoly would be sorted and held accountable. Immigration In the southern border of the United States there should be the usage of more border patrol specialist, agents and personnel, motion detection devices and surveillance drones to secure our border. While this happens more support in the form of business, infrastructure development and law enforcement support be provided to the country of Mexico. This I think will be more productive and effective than a large wall. Periodic checks over a five to ten year period of time on those who marry into a family or person who is a citizen of the United States. The threat and penalty of deportation even if a natural born child of the United States is involved should be written Into federal and state laws particularly as a deterrent to those who think about violating these new ideas for a laws. Background checks paid for by the foreign citizen from their respective countries should be provided at the time of their citizenship application. Those here currently in the United States should apply for a certain status allowed by current law according to their needs as they should properly get in line without the fear of deportation. All illegal and undocumented persons within the United States who have violated our laws with felonious intent should be immediately deported and or prosecuted and punished regardless of the situation. Defense As a part of the U.S. foreign policy the people within Iraq and Afghanistan that have suffered during the current conflict as specially if they are non adults, the formulation of a monetary fund, a health and wellness construct, including educational grants be given to them due to their high risk of becoming enemies or enemy combatants. Our G.I. bills should be fortified with more monetary value and incentives. I also believe that that our military should be given the supplies and ability to operate on a level where they are up to date with their armaments. In our current overseas conflicts as specially within Afghanistan and Iraq the United States must repay in construction and maintenance their respective infrastructures that have been broken and destroyed. All terrorists recruitment websites should be taken down by our internet service providers including social media to prevent these behaviors wherever possible. Veterans affairs The department of veterans affairs should be conjoined with the department of defense for the comprehensive and sensible operation of both entities due to the lack of care seen and proven upon our veterans, also because of the enormous and iniquitous funding given to the department of defense. I believe that these persons within both entities are so similar that their care and maintenance should be more level in congruence with current needs and particularities. Israel and Palestine Those in the Gaza strip and West Bank must be given as close to an equal amount of property and land to their respective countries. This can be done by a large migration from one portion of Palestine to the other whilst growing the area of that portion in an appropriate manner. It no longer makes sense that because of religious sites they cannot create a close to equal amount of territories where they can occupy a safe and secure population and environment. Israel is at fault originally by making the foolish decision of occupieing an area of the world where they will not be accepted because of their religious views. This was a foolish intent on trying to gain the land it may have occupied some long time ago and because of the worlds pity on them for their losses during the last world war. One African American family choosing to make a home in the deep south of the United States where the particular demographic could possibly be full of white nationalist is obviously very foolish, so how is the same scenario not foolish on the part of the Israeli settlers during the early fifties. Perpetuity of conflict because of religious beliefs is no longer an excuse to me for the Palestinian and Israeli governments/peoples conflict. Health All pharmaceutical companies must provide affordably priced medications to those in need by law and should face prosecution for unfair raises on prices of their medications. Also the FDA should oversee that ingredients to medications be listed where possible on each prescription. Preventative medicine should be taught in our public education system. Natural remedies should be offered by our healthcare providers and doctors. This also should be taught to them while they receive their healthcare credentials. Children, elderly and those with low or no income should be covered by mandatory health insurance including current laws and regulations on emergency care. All those who do not fit into the above criteria should be offered optional coverage. Tax dollars should pay for and fund our medications and treatments. Education Mandatory curricula that includes U.S. constitution, arithmetics, sciences, American English, history, economics, family and consumer sciences, health and wellness and also natural survival skills in its most comprehensive form be given to all students in the United States public school system. The complete elimination of standardized tests as they are interruptive to the base education curriculum. It seems they are only implemented for an unnecessary exhaustive excuse for statistical purposes and are not needed nor wanted. A funding structure that is equal and fair be given to all public schools. A federal funding structure that at least provides half of that of the defense department or one that increases its funding by an exponential value. Corrections A new physical imprisonment structure that is more humane for those that have committed felonies should be an outdoor facility in the fashion of having a large electrified fence with motion detection systems throughout the grounds. This along with GPS monitored bracelets and guards who are armed with lethal and non lethal weapons to use at their disgression. That including prisoner specific drop boxes that provide medications and food stipends in a monthly drop by helicopter at certain waypoints. This large area shall only have one entrance and exit where prisoners are notified of their time of release on their bracelets and if they are summoned to a waypoint or exit. The closing of private for profit prisons should be enacted and enforced because I personally deem them to be slave labor and a partial violation of the thirteenth amendment of the United States Constitution. Only the most violent criminals should be given the punishment of a current super maximum twenty four hour lockdown facility. Law Enforcement It should be mandatory policy that within police departments throughout the United States (as specially cities), that all beat officers and above them in their hierarchy be involved in the creation and daily process of the local neighborhood watch community programs to prevent illegal activities and crime. This along with the ability to have transparency within local law enforcement collectives. Energy For those dependents on fossil fuels and nuclear power for energy sources should be trained for the transference of their positions to a new mandatory lawful requirement of the use of sustainable energy sources in a swift manner such as geothermal, solar, tidal, kinetic and wind energy collection systems. Also whatever materials may be actually recycled should be mandated by law across the United States. Infrastructure The department of labor should comprise a list of people willing to be trained and work on the improvement and modernization of the electrical grid, roads, bridges, and public lands that need care and renewal. Those on that list should be employed throughout a large infrastructure initiative. Agrarian The regular availability and normal pricing of organic foods. If less chemicals such as preservatives and fertilizers are used then the prices of these foods should go down and not up due to less cost overhead accrued by farmers and vendors. Campaign Reform No political office within the whole of the United States government should be held for more than one term. This would strongly reduce corruption and illegalities because there would only be enough time for these individuals to focus on the proper management and interworkings within their respective job descriptions. Also no large entities and only singular persons may contribute to a campaign within the whole of the United States government. This along with a cap on the dollar amount one may contribute and a cap on the dollar amount one person running for office may accrue. Abortion In the cases of rape, incest, and the possible loss of the mothers life, including most birth defects that an abortion be given. Also proof of these conditions be a prerequisite under a new law. Also if found that if a prospective mother is abusing her right to an abortion, privilege revocation and a fine should be levied on that person. Adoption and no questions asked drop offs have created better options than abortion. Abstinence should be taught early on in public schools and families perpetually. Space Funding for a viable space exploration initiative not including expensive telescopes and satellites with the involvement of the general public including tourism and mining hopefully regardless of difficulties and obstacles involving NASA, private companies, and persons. Welcome Laurence! Some nice ideas, but far too many to comment on in one thread. Spread your ideas out a bit more to get some feedback on each individual idea, rather than hitting everybody over the head with a wall of text on everything ranging from constitutional amendments to space exploration.
