National Geographic and Climate Scientists Predict Arctic Ice to Disappear !!

This week, after reviewing his own new data, NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: "At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions."

So scientists in recent days have been asking themselves these questions: Was the record melt seen all over the Arctic in 2007 a blip amid relentless and steady warming? Or has everything sped up to a new climate cycle that goes beyond the worst case scenarios presented by computer models?

"The Arctic is often cited as the canary in the coal mine for climate warming," said Zwally, who as a teenager hauled coal. "Now as a sign of climate warming, the canary has died. It is time to start getting out of the coal mines."



Well it is still here, pretty much the same as 2007. So are the polar bears.........

anounced by scientists all the time in 2007, 2006, 2005, 2003,..1970, … back to 1956– when none of them have materialized. So, since Xns are crazy and they were wrong, scientists can continue their unnumerated and exceeding the number of ten fold scare mongering of Xns, whilist using money they extort from Xns. One may not be given the gift of Xn faith, but one should clearly see that when a nation turns away from God it shouldn’t expect to keep the same prosperity and freedom of persuite opf happiness, or to be a leader of other nations as it enjoyed before.

Yes and it varies a LOT. In April it was at the 21 year average. My friend, I have never doubted nor claimed that it is very likely the world is warming (interglacial) what I am against is the bizarre fanaticism of some saying it is the END of the world unless MAN changes. Recall my post was about "climate scientists" saying it would be GONE now....zero nada (not the 6-7% the graph shows), and to save the world we had to return to the stone age.

In the Miocene CO2 was way above where it is now, the world was warmer, and life went on.........

 

Basically the world has been warming and has been losing glaciers since the end of the last ice age. When glaciers start growing and we start heading into the next ice age is when I will be concerned. Most of earths history has been a planet covered in ice, enjoy this brief warm spell, it's a great time to be here.

Strangely enough..... those coal mines in China are having a similar effect on the world's climate as a major volcanic eruption does.......... there are cooling the climate or masking a general global warming trend.

There is an old saying that within the negatives...… there are always positives....... and within the positives...… are always negatives.

The threat of rising ocean levels........ which could at least partly be alleviated by investing in turning the deserts of the nation of Jordan green through large scale desalination of ocean water...… could play a significant role in turning the world in the general direction of peace.
