We'll keep Alaska you can have California, Washington, Oregon and Hawaii. You could form your own little socialist paradise but then you wouldn't have anyone to hate. You'd have to duke it out amongst yourselves about who is the most radical, raging, communist. Just think you could go full New Green Deal and let your little world go back to wilderness. Void of the trappings of civilization it would be the new Eden at least it would be for those of you who believe there is a power greater than your narcissistic selves.

I oppose NATO for many reasons; I am a friend of peace and order and an enemy of economic insanity, imperialism and suprnationalism. NATO contradicts all of these principles.

First and foremost, NATO is a Cold War relic. Today, we live in a world where neither Soviet nor the Warzaw Pact are anylonger around and the natural question a person of reason thus have to ask is Who is the enemy? Secondly, NATO is rooted around the idea that USA pays for the defence of European nations who are to useless to fund their own military in exchange of becoming American puppet states - What sort of insanity is this? And why should USA pay for Europe's defence?

Furthermore, NATO have conducted, to say the least, many dubious operations such as the bombings of Serbian civilians and on top of this, they are also - very much - the sole reason for everything bad that has happened in Europe the last few decades with all of America's countless interferences in European politics. Europe's natural enemy is not Russia, it is America.

Europe is the birth place of civilisations. America is Europe's unwashed and primitive cousin and my question is; Why should Europe bend over for Uncle Sam? Russia is part of European civilisation and if Europe really needs a protector, Russia is much more of a natural ally than is America.

American Imperialism is the cancer of Earth.

I hate the America you folks envision and will do anything necessary to make sure that never happens. You are right, I see zero value in the America you want, as I said if you folks want your own little progressive paradise then by all means please secede from America but please take all of your garbage with you.

That's a pretty idiotic thing to say without suggesting how Eastern Europe is to be defended against the military assault of Russia.

Plus, calling it anacrhonistic makes no sense when it's doing exactly what it was designed to do and what needs to be done - today.

    Contain Communism!

Besides, today we have push button warfare.

Why pretend we or they would contain a European War to ground warfare

What's your view on Eastern Europe?

Are you suggesting that Russia/Putin have a better government and thus should be allowed to conquer Eastern European countries?

We do not have "push button warfare" . It's far more complex than that.

Try thinking beyond the superficial ;)

    1) Europe can pay and provide for their own defense.

But why should they when we do both for them??

    2) Operation Gladio was/is a disgrace.

It should serve as warning as to the lengths Israel, Great Britain, and the U.S. will go to instill fear in the population.

    That could happen.

But just as the German industrialists lost control of Hitler, so Pootin will not be able to control the Donald over a long time. From a one-sided friendship fast can become a bitter enmity.

Yeah, it'll definitely be better for democracy and the country if we have no influence in the world. (sarcasm)

In order for sarcasm to be effective, it has to have a ring of truth - yours doesn't ;)

    1) We are not a democracy. No rational, informed person would want to live in a democracy.

    2) Europe has plenty enough resources to defend themselves. They've made promises to the U.S. for decades that they'll "pay their fair share", but they never do.

    3) You and I as U.S. taxpayers pay the price for Germany, France, Italy, et al, while they laugh at how weak our leadership is.

    4) Are you contending that if we don't let Europe rip us off, that we'll lose "influence" in the world?? You have a strange accounting of "influence".

We get a great deal out being in all those countries.
Our currency is the currency of the world. We get that because we project power throughout the world and it gives us tremendous leverage economically

Isolating ourselves puts that in danger

Insisting that Europe defend themselves does not equate to US isolation.

It simply frees us from having to spend our resources in defense of people who can defend themselves; and, who exhibit contempt for us at every turn.

I want America to maintain the #1 military in the world. We don't need to act as "the world's policeman" to do that.
