That's fair, but there is certainly not enough of them. I think they are also implicit in creating the environment in which a trump candidacy can exist. For 8 years, they obstructed, floated conspiracy theories, and put party before country at every turn. All republicans may not be the drooling morons you see at trump rallies, but they helped make this man possible.

 

This is why polls don't really matter. They can be skewed toward whomever they want. Dems know this, but they hope to demoralize Republican, so that they won't vote at all, but Republicans are too smart for that ploy. The only votes that matter are those cast on Election Day, but I guess Dems feel they have that covered too with poll tampering. They have to cheat to win, because they know Hillary is a LOSER. She has no shame. She gets debate questions in advance. She has a team of minions working 24-7 just to try to dig up dirt(she did that to Obama too) because she knows she is a failure and can't run on her accomplishments because she doesn't have any. Like Obama, she has made the world a worse place to live in and she knows it.

Here is what losing campaigns say:

1. "The polls are skewed."
2. "The only poll that matters is on Election Day."
3. "I'll make up the difference with my great ground game."
4. "I have the support of the silent majority."
5. "The election is rigged."
6. "Look at the size of my crowds!"

Trump and his supporters are hitting 5 out of 6. The only reason they're not using #3 is because they can't. They don't have a serious ground game, because Trump is an incompetent doofus.

It's funny that polls don't matter; as long as their scientific polls. Now when it comes to those polls that anyone can put up on their websites, the ones that Trump Chumps brigade, then suddenly the Donald getting 90% of the vote matters.

Lying, cheating, and corruption is the only thing she knows. Her entire life has been based on that and I'd have to imagine that you become numb to it all after so many times. I'm sure after 30 years, she feels nothing. What's one more lie or theft?

Point being, polls don't always matter. Especially in this election. I remember in 2008 and 2012, everybody supporting obama except a few people. That goes for facebook, work chatter, and being out in public seeing signs everywhere and stickers on cars... This time what I'm seeing is pro-Trump on an even more grand scale. Friends who never cared about politics before are now involved, people that were obama voters are now Trump supporters, etc... Take it for what you will.

Ah yes, the "I'm not seeing it so it's not happening" sentiment. Look, i'm sure in bumbleswamp Louisiana things are much different. Trump will have a basket of deplorables to get him some votes. Think of grading on a curve, some kids have to fail and get left behind. The world needs ditch diggers. I'd like to think when trump loses in humiliating fashion, it'll change your mind about how life is outside of the swamp, but you'll likely double down on the crazy.

I'm about four hours north of the swamps. This election is already rigged for Clinton otherwise she wouldn't have beaten Bernie Sanders. The left always calls common sense a conspiracy theory. Color me shocked.

More of this please. Your desperation and intellectual dishonesty is amusing at this point where trump has no path to victory. I really hope you stick around after the loss to entertain us all with your tears and paranoia. It used to upset me when I heard things like this. I've come to the realization that conspiracy theories are born of desperation and fear. It's only natural for these to come from the political right as they are in a demographic death spiral, so keeping people stupid and scared is their only tactic. Ultimately, I think this is good for America as the ignorance that permeates the political right is marginalized as a handful of crazies who can barely be trusted to tie their shoes.

 

Poll samples are based on party registration numbers. If you took a 3-way poll and gave 33.3% to each of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents it would be worthless. To all of you who claim the polls are rigged, what would you consider a fair poll?

 

And even that is shaky, as party ID is fluid -- way more fluid than registration.

Plus, in many states you aren't required to register as a member of one party or another.

I don't even remember what I'm registered as -- or even if I had to pick a party at all. If someone calls and asks me what party I identify with, I'll answer by whatever party I feel attached to at the moment -- which may have nothing at all to do with my registration status.

Some polls weight for party ID by referencing survey data that asks about such things.

But given the above, many polls don't even bother. Which is reasonable, too.
