President Biden will never admit it, but he has Republican-led states to thank for the resilient U.S. economy and labor market. Witness how an earnings surge in right-leaning states is helping compensate for sluggish growth in progressive ones.

New state personal income data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis highlights how aggregate worker and proprietor earnings in red states grew significantly more in the last year than in the blues. The disparity owes to GOP-led states adding more jobs, including in higher-paying industries like tech and finance, along with faster-growing wages...

…Progressive states have sought to shower subsidies on favored industries such as green energy. Yet earnings in Texas and Florida grew faster across the board than in New York and California, including in information, manufacturing, construction, retail, finance, and professional, scientific and technical services. (See the nearby chart.)…

…It’s no surprise that more Americans are moving to states where wages are growing faster and their earnings go further. Maybe one reason the U.S. economy continues to chug along is because the rising tide in states like Florida and Texas is lifting all boats.

You will have to read the linked article to see specific states that clearly favors red states over blue ones. The more red states opened and blue locked down the bigger the red state advantage grew over the blue ones. People voted with their U-Hauls and took their jobs, investment, taxable incomes, and businesses with them.

The division between red and blue in current and future growth and investment between red and blue will only grow now that the blue state stimulus from the then 100% democrat controlled congress is gone. Biden wanted a reset and all he got was weak results in areas acting like him and powerful strong results in places defying him every step of the way. We refuse to participate in bidenomics.

Does this mean we won’t see graphs where blue state proponents try to rely on past glory to mitigate present reality?

    Why?

This is really just a simple case of the lowest having the furthest to climb.

Actually it is not. If conditions in red states are so bad, why did millions of Americans leave blue states for red ones and take their taxable income, investments, jobs, and corporate HQ’s with them? How do you explain that.

If it makes you feel better, go with that. In reality though a lot of it has to do with business relocation or expansion. Now I doubt you could pay me enough money to move to Florida or Texas, but businesses are moving there and your choices as a worker are often relocate or become unemployed. The question a lot of places need to be asking is why are they losing business opportunities to the south. My guess is it is because we have plenty of water, reliable cheaper electricity, cheaper land, cheaper housing, and southern states have gotten really good at subsidizing these business migrations.

Actually it is. Factually, actually, and really really in reality that's all this is.

You of course will never be able to see that, and even if you were you'd never admit it anyway.

Blue states are turning into shithole states.
