Influence what. The infrastructure is destroyed, women's rights are in tatters, great influence. Have you any idea how arrogant that sounds.
I don't think we should have been in Libya in the first place, but I think it's wrong for us to look down upon them because they are not adopting the type of democracy we want them to. If we help to 'liberate' a country from oppression and allow them to govern themselves then they have the right to govern how they see fit. However, I think the track record speaks for itself how this whole Arab Spring is playing out and I think this may come back to bite us in the ass in 20 years worse than helping the mujahideen fight the Soviet Union. Time will tell.
Whatever form of government they choose is NOT our business.. I expect Libya will use their old Constitution as a model .. and there's NOTHING "radical" about that.
That's pretty much what I'm saying we can't, per say, let the dog of the leash and then be mad he goes and (*)(*)(*)(*)s in the neighbor's lawn. If we allow them to govern themselves, it is foolish to make look poorly upon what government they as a people choose to be a part of. It is in their complete right to develop whatever they want from Sharia law to Communism. I am just saying that if we continue on this course we may be creating future enemies as we did in Afghanistan. I'd rather we stay out of these 'overthrow dictator' kicks we seem to be on, in an effort to maybe curb some of the hate that may be thrown our way in the future.
Of course it is.. Whether its a constitutional monarchy or some sort of Islamic Republic or some odd form of socialism, its NONE of our business. I am optimistic about Libya.. not so much about Egypt or Yemen.
You expected a miracle.. Sorry that's not in the offing. Outsourcing began 20 years ago and is directly related to age and rising healthcare insurance costs. Notice that Home Depot is now outsourcing.. That's like Betty Crocker turning on the American public.
You mean the same home depot that Gives lots of money to gays and is being boycotted? Home Depot has turned against the American public http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/ho...support-for-gay-agenda-despite-massive-petit/
