Hi Sally and welcome. I am from the UK where you can call yourself a socialist and not get lynched! We think Trump is the best president ever, I have hardly stopped laughing since he took office. We think it is great the US elected a comedian in these troubled times! We even made Boris Johnson foreign secretary so we could see a comedy double act.
Like, like, like! Welcome Ria Raeb. We've just got rid of an idiot equal in cringeworthiness, in Australia.
No, what was scary to same people was Hilary Clinton wanting to start a nuclear war with Russia proactively with her promising to have the USA military attack the Russian military.
So you're a liberal female from Australia. I'm a radical moderate, independent, flag-waving American patriot from Oregon. I'm also a life long fan of women, so ... Welcome to the forum!
I'm not conservative. In Australia, our Liberals are the conservatives, and the progressive parties are Labour party, the Greens and a whole slew of Independents and smaller parties- all with diverse and sometimes bizarre agendas. I'm interested in how you can be a radical moderate? I'm a fan of men, so thank you for your welcome.
That would be pretty crazy, alright. You wouldn't have a link, or a source you can cite, would you. Please, no right wing crackpot sites. Thanks.
Ah very good! I'm a radical moderate because I hold strong opinions that cross over the lines of what is thought to be "conservative" or "liberal". And, my opinions on things are not very wishy-washy. I'm an independent because I don't particularly like the Republicans in Washington, and I disagree with them on things. I also don't like progressive liberalism. I'm a moderate because I do believe in the social contract, however - collectively paying to take care of the poor and elderly and vulnerable. I live conservatively, I like our traditions, I respect anyone who works for a living, and I believe in paying for things we as a country want, and if we're unwilling to pay for them, we can't have them. I have the utmost respect for our young people who serve in our armed forces. In spite of her flaws, and regardless of who wins or loses every four years, I love my country. I often hate our politicians, but that has no bearing on my patriotism and love of country. Did I mention that I'm a big fan of women?
Welcome, Sallyally. Do I detect an Ozzie accent? Edit...nevermind, you answered that question in a later post that I hadn't read yet!
