Cuomo was forced to resign because of real allegations, not cooked up garbage.

 

I'm not ignoring who this helps in politics.

NY will almost certainly get an even more marxist dem as gov.

One of Veep Throats potential adversaries in a Presidential bid is gone.

Cuomo may have the pressure for criminal prosecution for sexual assault mitigated.

As well as his actions to send NY states elderly to their lonesome deaths.

 

Such an outdated cliche..(part of some silly county sog) Not defending his behavior......... just trying to understand it in context of today's society. And wondering why standards are so different for Republicans when it comes to dealing with behavioral issues of Dems vs Repbs.

 

I have no answers for you. It doesn't make sense to me at all. Why jeopardize your own career, a marriage (if there is one) and any respect your employees might have for you?

Back in college, I went to a carnival with a friend. I saw some weird shadows beyond the trees as we were walking from the concession stand. I stopped and looked again and all I could see was several people walking kind of in a circle walking awkwardly. I finally realized what was happening and ran back to the spot where I saw a Chicago cop. I asked him to follow me and took him back to the spot and refused to leave until I KNEW he was going to help. The cop called for back-up and a paramedic. Basically, and without skirting the rules, there were about 5-6 teenage boys and they were carrying a what looked like a lifeless body. They had drugged a girl and she fell unconscious before they expected so they were moving her beyond the building where the restrooms were. The park manager came up to me (I would NOT move until I knew that young lady was in safe hands) and thanked me with tears in her eyes. She told me that she had no doubt that girl would have survived. She was barely hanging on BEFORE they were able to assault her.

I will NEVER UNDERSTAND why anybody would find that (insert word) appealing in any way, shape or form. It still disgusts me when I think about it (I try not to) and it's not the only time I've stepped in but it's certainly the closest the intended victim has been to death.

 

CORRECTION: She told me that she had no doubt that girl would NOT have survived (without intervention).

Apparently, the timing of this resignation is part of a grand strategy to retain future political viability.

Well, given the estimates democrats were throwing around, more than 2M people dead first hear, I'd say his efforts led to significantly better results. When democrats immediately started to attack the president, is this perhaps what you refer to as their never ending culture war? Sure seems like it.

You seem to believe deeply in the idea that government can and should suspend liberties when it feels like it. That doesn't seem very representative of how this country works. Perhaps you should work on that.

Gosh. What was the purpose of this post? Our liberties interact with each other. Our framework protect this idea that harmonious society is predicated on the protection of our rights and liberties. Do you suddenly imagine that your liberty is more important that those of the community and other individuals? That seems pretty selfish.

Perhaps you don't understand what intent is. If you knowingly were out in society while you were infectious, those actions or conduct can and are regulated under the law. What is not regulated, in our framework, are folks who are not violating those laws. I know, explaining how laws work to democrats just never works, but there you are.
