What has Gary Bettman done for the league? Other than now a third lockout. The NHL is becoming pathetic. The league has an endless list of problems, and nobody has any solutions. And Bettman just isn't capable of managing a hockey league. This is a guy who likely doesn't even know what type of stick to use for his handness. He get's booed by fans every time he steps on the ice. And he is far to arrogant - you can just tell by how he talks - to negotiate. And this guy just got a 7-year extension as the NHL's commissioner! Don't get me wrong, Fehr is the same guy responsible for the MLB's strike in '95. He and the NHLPA are no saints themselves. Add Fehr and Bettmans incompetence together, and a lockout was inevitable. The players and owners are getting too greedy and stupid with their money. And Bettman is continuing to prove he is too incompetent to run a hockey league.
