Some of these people are just whiners. OMG!

'The bank won't remove interest, wa wa'

    Seriously?

If you can't afford your home, sell it and get an apartment.

    sheesh!

her mortgage is $2600/month. Man, I want a home like that interest free too!

'I want to live the dream'.

    Well, don't we all?

Someone is supposed to hand it to you? Banks should loan money for free?

After her interest is eliminated, she'll say someone should pay the principle for her!

People buy expensive houses and then expect the bank to just wait for the repayments.

If you are struggling, but have made all other repayments, then the bank should be understanding and wait, but for no more than a period of say, six months. After that, sell the house and ay the money back.

People get themselves into trouble because they buy what they cannot afford.

this woman is in an expensive home with very nice furnishings crying about how she cannot afford $2600/month anymore.

There are people who are flat homeless and she is crying over what is probably a $250,000 house or more.

    Seriously?

Due to divorce, my mother had to sell our very nice home and buy a much smaller one in a less expensive suburb. She also had to sell some of our furnishings, piano, etc.

She did not go on TV and cry and act like a victim.

Some people need to get a grip.

She could sell some of the furnishings, or perhaps she shouldn;'t have bought such an expensive house - although over here, you are lucky if you get a house for that much! I am unsure how much the mortgage would be per month, though.

People are so silly. They buy expensive furnishings and complain about making the repayments. Manage your money better!

This is just a side effect of the culture of entitlement rampant in America right now. This is especially true because a lot of loans are at rock bottom interest rates right now.

Very true. Personal responsibility is all but extinct.
