    eh, was too young to care when she was relevant, only knew of "I will always love you" because i watched The Bodyguard.

    but i must say she is arguably one of the best ive heard to sing the national anthem, between her and Faith Hill i cant say who is better,but Whitney absolutely nailed it when she did it at the super bowl.

    Yeah you only heard of her because hollywood promoted her with the dances with wolves guy.

    The original "I will always love you" by Dolly Parton is much better.

    Oh Christ this ^^^.

    Lived and worked in Memphis for several years during the 80's...
    Most people have no idea how horrible living in that place during Elvis death week is like...

    Every years TENS OF THOUSANDS of impersonators, crying fans, hangers on, etc... swarm the city and turn it into a bawling souvenir filled mess.

    I love the king, but hate his subjects.

    fav national anthem singing was by Jordin Sparks at the A 2011 capital fourth.

    When Elvis died, Richard Nixon was a private citizen, and he asked his fellow Americans to fly their flats at half-mast. That is all.

    The NJ Governor's decision to order flags flown at half-mast for this drug addict is a clear breach of protocol.

    Uh, "Didn't We Almost Have It All," "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" are just two examples of really good songs she put out...

    Pretty much anything she put out in the late 80's/early 90's was good music...

    Honestly, look at the names of people she was working with...

    Jermaine Jackson, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Babyface...

    With her singin ability, how could it not be good music?

    Are you actually trying to imply that I can't name any songs by her???

    Cause that would be nuts...
