So, I haven't watched any kind of news since the election in 2008, I listen to the occasional Talk Radio, but even those have gotten steadily worse over the years(especially Hannity, who can't let anyone have an opinion besides himself:mad:).

So, after watching one news segment from each of the leading news stations, I have come to the conclusion that since 3 years ago, the political media has gone completely downhill, with no hope for redemption. MSNBC is the worst so far, with FOX and CNN tied in second, talk radio can't stop banging walls, and internet news is only half reliable as a source.

Is this the end for the news industry? Will we never be able to view a single unbiased segment? What will it take to fix this? Because right now, I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the Political Media Machine.

Fox, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, etc are all infotainment and have little to do with real journalism. We need to cut them loose and stop watching as they will NEVER recover any sense of journalistic integrity.

For US-based media the Daily Show and Colbert Report are the best you will get. They lean left, but it is very clear when they do it. Most of the time they are fairly centrist and will lampoon both Republicans and Democrats evenly.

Aside of those two programs, you'll need to go overseas to find truly journalistic news like the BBC (although they have their moments of bias) and Germany's Deutsche Welle which I commonly watch as they have quite good news coverage in English on TV, radio, and internet: http://www.dw-world.de.

I think it's important to remember that one doesn't need to use lies to benefit special interest. More often than not (at least of what I see, I don't live in America), one uses bias, not lies, to convince readers. But yes, all have a bias.

Sorry, but I certainly wouldn't count BBC are reliable and honest. NPR should have been on the list, too.

Personally, the Christiran Science Monitor is one of the few papers that I respect. Well, I can't think of another one right now.

Wow. Stewart and Colbert the best you will get. I am flabbergasted.

Christian Science Monitor - Limited bias
Glenn Beck- The Truth has no agenda - Limited bias, doesnt care R's or D's.
BBC - Marginal bias, but the panels and discussions are noteworthy.
Debka - Bias, but I like the military/espionage angle from Israelies ref the ME.
