Abu - I'm not certain , but was told only persistent thieves receive the maximum punishment and the hand is surgically amputed no more chopping block jobs.

For theives who are three time losers or thieves who combine violence with theft.

 

Marlowe it is against our religion what they are doing

ONLY the relative of the dead or the person who the thief stole the thing from is allowed to carry out the punishment in our religion.

We are allowed to take revenge ourselves on the perpetrator. Only our family can do that not some state executioner paid to kill because in the end he is killing someone he has no connection with or with the crime.

That is why in most cases the family or the one injured almost always forgives the criminal or the killer because in our religion that is better and leaves the judging to Allah.

Some of course take revenge but not all.

If we talk about war with Americans or whoever killing us then we are allowed to defend ourselves from their attacks. If they call a truce we have to respect that truce too.

I think many lives would be saved all over the world if Western leaders were beheaded by their people and stick on London bridge like the traitors they are to the people.

Yes , I've also told that the final decision is left to the the relative who can either insist on the penalty being carried out or forgive. + the pious believe that forgiveness is best as it receives Allah's blessings.

The little that I 've been told was that each school of thinking Shia//Wahabi/Ismaili/Ahmadiyah/ Sunni or Sunnah - like Hanafi/Shafi/Hanbali etc have their own different understandings/interpretations mixed with customs +traditions on various matters .
