That's what Trump said... Actually, I agree. Press briefings are nonsense. All they provide is fodder for the 27/7 cable news cycle that feeds on the opinions of mostly liberal journalists.. "President Trump suggested in a new interview that he might get rid of White House press briefings, unless he chooses to do them himself every two weeks. Fox News released a clip of Trump’s interview with Jeanine Pirro in which Trump stands by his tweet floating the possibility of cancelling “all future” press briefings “for the sake of accuracy.” http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...-house-not-have-press-conferences-unless-i-do

The reason that Press Conferences are rediculous is because Trump does so much stupid and incompetent **** (like contradicting his own narrative regarding the firing of Comey within 24 hours) that Sean Spicer and the rest of his surrogates have the most difficult job on the planet. Why do you wish for a decrease in transparency and a reduction in accountability? How about Trump cancels the lying instead of cancelling the Press Briefings?
How can questions create fodder. It's the discrepancies and lies in the answers that create fodder. Like donald you should spend a little more time thinking before you open your mouth or were you just quoting donald who is the master creator of fodder.
This from the guy who promised to be the most transparent in the history of the known multiverse. You are being played for a fool. What else would you expect a tyrant to do? Keep asking yourself if his actions are consistent with those of a tyrant who seeks to subvert the Constitution. You will keep coming up with "yes" as the answer. He seeks to undermine the press, the intelligence communities, judges, anyone who could potentially prosecute him, our allies, he praises despots and dictators, he contradicts himself constantly, his story changes constantly, and the only thing he can get done is through executive orders. What does it take for you to see the obvious? What is wrong with people? How can so many people be so naive or blind or bullheaded when this is so painfully obvious? Is there something in the water?
Won't matter. As long as Trump has a Twitter account and thumbs there will be more than enough "fodder" to keep the crazy going. What is really starting to worry me is that if Trump is so easily distracted by small issues like those he's had to deal with so far, what happens during a real crisis? A war? Hurricane? The guy hasn't even appointed a new ambassador to South Korea - an ally who is in the middle of a world hot spot.
Oh looks like they have to run and hide. "The big bad media is asking us questions and not buying our bullshit answers!" Boo ****ing hoo.
I wish they could just organize better and not create so many easily targeted screw ups. The whole main stream media thing going after Trump is getting old though. They are starting legal cases for every single decision he makes claiming some conspiracy, then screaming "see I told you so" when you say you don't want to do some ridiculous investigation. If I were Trump I would do less to. Obama was known as the least transparent administration ever and he ended up just fine. Just mirror what he does and if the press complains chart out the comparisons.
Trump has the media wrapped around his finger. The liberal blowhards are chasing a carrot on stick. Fun to watch. Trump tosses you guys red meat and you can't help yourselves.. Watergate! Russian! Talk about paranoia He is playing the media and you libs like a fiddle .
Come on now...Trump takes to Twitter all the time. You guys hate it because his comments are not filtered through the MSM...How much more transparent can you get? The press has tried to undermine Trump because he called them out for their bias. Only those who exist in the MSM hall of mirrors and parrots think Trump is a bad guy.
"Taking to Twitter" means that he gets to spin his own narrative. A press briefing or press conference allows the press to ask some questions. One of their key roles is to ask uncomfortable questions. About issues that the WH would prefer not to talk about. It also gives the press direct access to the WH's official position / story. Trump supporters criticise so-called "fake news", but they want to eliminate one of the avenues to get "real news" straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak? Bizarre.
News outlets are going to be forced to hire reporters instead of having the government subsidize them with free on air content. Oh the humanity.
In an administration that is a dictatorship I see no reason to have any news conference at all....just let little Donny play teenager on his little twitter with his little fingers, that's all the peasants need...once in a while at his pleasure he can address them using his delicate little pursed mouth on TV... ......what goes on in government is no business of the American rank and file...
