Granny says Obama needs to send Navy Seal Team 6 over there to take care o' lil' Kim like dey did Osama an' be done with it... How potent are North Korea's threats? 8 March 2013 - The latest UN sanctions on North Korea unleashed an angry response. Pyongyang announced an end to all non-aggression pacts with the South, having earlier threatened a pre-emptive nuclear strike against attackers. The BBC examines how much of a threat North Korea really poses to the US and its Asian neighbours.
Grandpa says it can be done only when the CCP and Chinese military have finally come to their senses and recognised North Korea's potential nuclear threat to China...
why would the Chinese destroy an ally and neighbour who would be an asset to them when the american terroristas shift from the middle east to the far east?
Those "neighbours" can be dangerous and change face in a flash. Look what happened to Iran in 1979.. Look what's going on in the arab "spring" ... No one knows where it would lead to.. It can work differntly, as i hope will happen in Venezuella
You aint 'america' but you are the answer to the question. i wish i was one. Instead i am about as american as any american kid could every want to be \ with people like you living here
Looking back at history, communist North Vietnam was an ally and neighbour who was an asset to China during the Vietnam War. Who could have ever dreamed or imagined the 1979 Sino-Vietnam War between the two close communist allies after the American defeat in Vietnam? Now Vietnam is moving closer to the US than China. History can repeat on the Korean Peninsula. There may be a Sino-Korean war in the future when the North Korean regime turns its gun towards China after conquering the South and uniting the Korean Peninsula. We have no permanent friend. We have no permanent enemies. We just have permanent interests. -- Benjamin Disraeli I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends. -- Abraham Lincoln "An ally today can be a foe tomorrow. Similarly, an asset today can be a liability tomorrow." -- reedak. Quotes Daddy http://www.quotesdaddy.com/quote/12...permanent-friend-we-have-no-permanent-enemies
Because they are tired of feeding a deadbeat ally and wasting ressources by continually doing so... China and Russia are in this game for the same reason that the rest of the world are. They are in it for the ressources and the money. NK doesn't have any of those two thing. South Korea has great relation with china since 1992 and are trading partner. NK on the other end is a ball and chain at the ankle of China and they are getting bloody tired of it. It's my opinion that the chinese may be goading the Nk to commit suicide and get rid of them. China will only intervene if things goes out of hand or if the western power try to over stay their welcome.
So says one of Hamas' and Hezbollah's biggest fans. True. With our diplomatic influence and our position as the world's greatest power we are frequently involved in resolving conflicts.
Yes, your neighbour can be dangerous if he is a policeman. Don't ever make friend with a policeman because he can change face in a flash, show no mercy and friendship, and arrest you if you commit an offence. Yes, your neighbour can be dangerous if he is a judge. Don't ever make friend with a judge because he can change face and in a flash, show no mercy and friendship, and mete out the death penalty if you commit a serious crime such as murder. Yes, you can be dangerous too if your neighbour is a criminal. Don't ever make friend with a criminal because if you don't change face in a flash, fail to report him to the police, your mind will be struggling between right and wrong, between friendship and conscience...
Whatever changes have taken place in the world, national interests will forever remain unchanged. It's definitely stupid and not in anyone's interest to be dragged into a fight by somebody who has no personal or family relationship with him, and eventually pays a high price in the involvement by having himself and his whole family killed in the process. Similarly, it's definitely stupid and not in any country's interest to be dragged into a war by another state which is not its own province, and eventually pays a high price with mass destruction and heavy loss of life.
