'Al-lah' is the Arabian moon-god and bore three daughters including Astarte and al-ilat. This name is rarely mentioned in the Judeo-Christian Bible and never as a synonym for 'Yahweh' (the proper name of the Judeo-Christian deity)....Al-lah is not mentioned interchangeably with that of Yahweh or any relation thereof. 'Yahweh' not only is the name of the Judeo-Christian deity, it is the entity that the Jews encountered in the Old Testament. So fhe lack of interchangeability of names with entities (al-lah and Yahweh) alone is enough to convince me the two are separate (as day is from night).

Then there is the question of the mesages presented by these two supposedly identical beings. FIrst of all, al-lah never showed itself to man...Muhammed CLAIMED to be approached by Yahweh's angel, Gabriel and received his messages given in the Qur'an, So, we have no idea of knowing whqt Muhammed saw and what or who it was messenging for...But Yahweh preferred in the Old Testament to interact DIRECTLY with humanity rarely employing go-betweens when teaching humanity through Moses et al. The fact that Al-lah has shunned direct confrontation with man suggests to me that al-lah can not be Yahweh. If Yahweh wanted man to learn from HIm, He usually came straight to man and taught man Himself. And this was over and over, not merely a single, all-inclusive package.

Al-lah gave Muhammed a message in the QUr'an that strongly contradicts Yahweh's teachings. "And when the forbidden months have passed, slay the infidels everywhere they are found...." so commands al-lah's Koran. "Slay the infidels everywhere"!!!!!????What??
Yahweh issued to Moses the 10 Commandments in STONE one of them stating "Thou shalt not commit murder." The same being did not tell humanity to abide by one principle and then abrogate it and do the opposite. It has to be one or the other--if such a being is worth following. Al-lah has also instructed his followers to lie to the unbeliever in order to subdue and Islamicize him. Yet Yahweh demands that man be truthful at all times. Yahweh is not therefore treacherous. But al-lah plainly employs treachery as a technique to sbvert unbelievers. The gap here is too great to bridge.

Al-lah and Yahweh therefore are not and cannot be the same being.

The mistake being made is that if a single niche exists and only one entity can fill it all percetions of that entity must be of the same entity. Such a view fails to take into account that perceptions of an entity filling the niche can be based on incorrect assumptions. The perception is not the source of the reality. It's the other way around. Just because someone is claiming to be worshiping the maker of the universe and has assigned creator status to a being does not mean they are correct in doing so. Muslim or Christian. Empirically speaking, the Judeo-Christians have a far more compelling case then Islam has whatever it's claims.

Yahweh (the God of the Bible) vs. Allah (the god of the Koran)

On Oct. 4, 2007, in an interview from the Oval Office with El Arabiya TV, President Bush said this in response to the charge that the Arab world sees the president as anti-Islam: “Well, first of all, I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That’s what I believe.” The Koran seems to support the president’s view:

Do not argue with the people of the scripture (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) except in the nicest possible manner-unless they transgress-and say, “We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is one and the same; to Him we are submitters.” (29:46)

While it appears the president’s comments were intended to soothe the minds of Muslim viewers, they had just the opposite effect on me. The god of Islam and the God of the Bible clearly are different. In fact, whether you’re Christian or Muslim, every person can know the difference between Allah and God by asking three personal questions:

The first question is this: Does God know me?

Allah. The Koran teaches that Allah is the transcendent creator, all-powerful and all-knowing. He knows who you are; in fact, he has fatalistically determined your thoughts, words and deeds – good and evil – and even your eternal destiny, which is why Muslims so often say, “If Allah wills it.” So, Allah does indeed know you.

But Allah is not truly personal, knowable, or approachable. The Koran depicts him more judgmental than gracious. He exists as a singular unity who has no “partners.” In fact, to call Jesus the Son of God is to commit the unpardonable sin, or shirk. Of the 99 names for God in the Koran, Father is not one of them. In Islam, it is considered blasphemous to “presume” that one can know God or claim any sort of close, personal fellowship with Allah. He reveals his will, not himself.

Yahweh, the God of the Bible, also is depicted as is the transcendent Creator. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present. He knows us; but more than that, He is knowable and approachable to us. He created us in His image – with personality, thought, and will – for the purpose of enjoying an everlasting, unbreakable, intimate relationship with Him. He exists as a Trinity in eternal relationship as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In fact, God is so knowable, He came in the flesh as Jesus of Nazareth.
•Jer. 24:7 — I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God because they will return to Me with all their heart.
•Jer. 31:34 — No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying: Know the Lord, for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them”-the Lord’s declaration. “For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin.”
•John 7:28-9 — As He was teaching in the temple complex, Jesus cried out, “You know Me and you know where I am from. Yet I have not come on My own, but the One who sent Me is true. You don’t know Him; I know Him because I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
•Heb. 8:11 — And each person will not teach his fellow citizen, and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them.
    • John 1:1-3, 14 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created….The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
•John 8:19 — Then they asked Him, “Where is Your Father?” “You know neither Me nor My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew Me, you would also know My Father.”
•John 17:3 — This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent-Jesus Christ.
•Abraham was called “the friend of God.”

Does God know me? Allah and Yahweh are depicted as supreme beings who know everything and everyone. But … only the God of the Bible is truly personal and knowable.

The second question we can ask to know the difference between Allah and Yahweh is: Does God love me?

Allah. The Koran teaches that Allah loves those he chooses to love and hates those he chooses to hate. “Allah loves not those that do wrong,” says the Koran (Surah 3:140), neither does he love “him who is treacherous, sinful” (Surah 4:107). “Those who reject faith and do wrong – Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to any way – Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein for ever. And this to Allah is easy (4:168-169). See also 5:49 and 40:10. Other types of people Allah hates:
    •Transgressors (2:190).
    •Ungrateful and wicked creatures (2:276).
    •Those who reject faith (3:32; 30:45).
    •Those who do wrong (3:57, 140; 42:40).
    •The arrogant, the vainglorious (4:36; 16:23; 31:18; 57:23).
    •Those given to excess (5:87).
    •Wasters (6:141; 7:31).
    •Treacherous (8:58).
    •Ungrateful (22:38).

Yahweh, the God of the Bible, on the other hand, loves all people (John 3:16). He demonstrated, or proved, His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:8). John wrote, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sin” (1 John 4:10). Even though God hates sin, He loves the sinner and takes no pleasure in punishing him (Eze. 18:23).

Does God love me? Only the God of the Bible loves all people.

The third question we can ask to know the difference between Allah and Yahweh is: Did God die for me?

The Koran teaches that Allahdid not, would not, and will not die for you, nor would he send anyone to die for you. In fact, the Koran teaches that Jesus did not die on the cross, but was taken up into heaven, and Judas was crucified in His place. Further, the Koran teaches that there is no need for God to provide a sacrifice for sin because ignorance of Islam, not sin, is man’s problem. (The possible exceptions are apostasy from Islam and refusal to convert to Islam.) Staying away from major sins (whatever those are) will automatically result in one’s “small” sins being overlooked by Allah (4:31).

Yahweh, the God of the Bible, on the other hand, loves us so much He sent His Son to die for us. This was determined in eternity past, before you and I were ever born and before any of mankind had fallen into sin; Jesus is declared to be the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us (2 Cor. 5:21). But even more than dying for us, God the Son rose from the dead, conquering sin and death, and He offers us forgiveness of sins and eternal life by His grace through faith in Him.

Did God die for us? Only the God of the Bible sent His Son to die for us, securing eternal life for those who trust in Him.

So, are Allah and Yahweh just two different names for the same God, as President Bush suggested in his television interview? Absolutely not:
•Allah is distant and unknowable. The God of the Bible is close and personal.
•Allah does not love every person; Yahweh does.
•Allah did not, would not, and will not die for you, nor would he ever send anyone to do so. But the God of the Bible loves you so much He sent His one and only Son to die for you. And He stands ready to grant you everlasting life if you will receive Him by faith.

    Yahweh’s Ekklesia vs. Allah’s Ummah

The following is an excerpt of an ICA article that can be found in its entirety here on Midnight Watcher. I especially like the multifaceted comparison made between the Ekklesia (the “called out ones”, the church) and Ummah (the body of Islamic believers, Muslims) near the end of the post.

Islam is directly influenced, controlled and is even being given its authority by Satan himself. I think most of us would agree. Lately, however, Islam has been strengthening considerably in its authoritative influence, and may even strengthen militarily if/when Iran reaches nuclear capability. But it is more than just a violent religion that hates everything outside of its own ideology. It is Satan’s platform upon which he is attempting to exalt himself and become like the God of Heaven. It is a means to an end.

As the Prophet Isaiah tells us, Satan has explicitly declared his intention to rise above the stars of God and to become like Him:

Isaiah 14:12-14, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation … I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

It is no coincidence that this also happens to be the exact description of Antichrist as given to us by the Prophet Daniel. Isaiah exposes Satan’s own corrupted ambitions, to magnify himself above everything that is called god, above everything that is associated with the God of gods, to be like God Himself. And the Ummah of Islam is how he intends to accomplish this. The “stars of God” may even be referring to the people of God, His ekklesia:

Deuteronomy 1:8-11, “‘See, I have set the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers–to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob–to give to them and their descendants after them.’ … ’The LORD your God has multiplied you, and here you [are] today, as the stars of heaven in multitude. ’May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you”

The name of Satan in Isaiah 14:12 (Lucifer) is “heylel,” which means “light-bearer”. The Arabic equivalent of Satan’s name is “hilal,” which means “crescent moon.” Also consider the “Takbir” of Islam, the victory cry of “Allahu Akbar.” What are they saying? It doesn’t mean “God is great” as it is often translated in the West. It actually means “Allah is greater.” If it is Satan’s intention to be like the Most High and to exalt his throne above the stars of God and sit upon the mount of his own congregation, it only stands to reason that Satan will seek to accomplish these things and perform these blasphemies through Islam, through the system to which he has given power. After all, those who marvel and follow the Beast “worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast” (Rev 13:4), and Satan knows that when they are worshipping “Allah” and the image of the Beast, they are worshipping him. Satan is therefore working to exalt and magnify himself as the Prophet Isaiah described through the base/estate/office of Antichrist, through the religious ideology of Islam that diametrically opposes everything that the Judeo-Christian faith represents and stands for. But although the enemy will try to destroy what God has created, he cannot and will not prevail against the ekklesia of God. All he can do is create his own corrupted version of God’s elect, to wage war against God’s elect, in an effort to replace God’s elect with one that is created in his own image:

    * Yahweh has the Ekklesia.
    * Satan has the Ummah.

    * Yahweh’s Ekklesia is “as a bride adorned for her husband” and filled with “the glory of God”.
    * Satan’s Ummah is a harlot “decked with gold and precious stones and pearls” filled with abominations.

    * Yahweh has given the Ekklesia His Word, the Bible.
    * Satan has given the Ummah its corruption, the Qur’an.

    * Yahweh’s Ekklesia is the multitude of the Lamb, whom they follow.
    * Satan’s Ummah is the multitude of a man, the “prophet” Muhammed, whom they follow.

    * Yahweh’s Ekklesia comes out of Great Tribulation.
    * Satan’s Ummah is responsible for it.

    * Yahweh’s Ekklesia receives the seal of God upon their foreheads and are redeemed.
    * Satan’s Ummah receives the Mark of the Beast upon their foreheads and are condemned.

    * Yahweh’s Ekklesia will be lead to springs of living waters.
    * Satan’s Ummah will drink of the wine of the wrath of God.

The stage has been set. In the “theatre” of Biblical eschatology, it is ready for the final act. All “props” are in position. The “characters” are in full costume. And the world is watching in attendance. Very soon we will witness the final act begin, and through Islam Satan will make his final stand against the Prince of princes.

Wrong! Just like the Muslim god can inspire hateful and violent acts, the bible can do the same.

Wrong! this is a claim put forth usually by evangelical christians. According to the people that actually speak the language and know the quran; these slamic groups have called the Moon-God view a "lie".[8] CAIR, for example, calls the Moon-God theories of Allah evangelical "fantasies" that are "perpetuated in their comic books".[9]

Regardless if Allah is the NAME of their god. They call their god "allah". This is Arabic for "god" or "the god".

This is just like spanish. Puerta is spanish for door. But since spanish(along with arabic) have feminine masculine words, the proper context is to say "the door", but this doesn't reduce the fact that saying "door" in spanish is "la puerta". You don't just translate "door" to "peurta". You would translate "door" to "la puerta"........which is really "the door."

So, in english, we don't say "the god" in reference to "god." In spanish or in arabic, when referencing something, because of their sentence structure, they say "the" in front of it.

In english we say, "Josh's book"
In spanish they say, "the book of Josh"
In Arabic they would say "the book of Josh"

    In english we say, "god"
In arabic and spanish, they would say, "the god"

    In english we say, "god"
In arabic, the word for god is "Allah"...............the god.

You really need to read up(from multiple sources and not just biased websites from faulty ideology) and stop getting brainwashed by people willing to sell you crack on a stick!

In the whole, you are right.
Dont confuse individual acts of violence as terror, nor individual acts of terror as Christian terrorism.
In two cases around the globe, a Christian person had killed their baby and ate part of it, that doesnt mean the Christian Community commits cannabalism.

He is wrong, dead wrong 100% wrong and cant show that the CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY is involved in terrorism.

Exactly........the reality of attempting to use random acts of some psychologically disturbed individuals who have at the most some undefined and distant connection to Christianity is blatantly fallacious.

Muslims, their apologists and assorted running dogs are grasping at straws.....I think most understand that.

Why are you so intent on malicously spreading lies about Christianity.

The muslim flag is even factually incorrect. A star will not appear in the sky behind a crescent moon.
The vast majority of muslims do not condone Islamic terrorism, neither do their leaders.
Muslims are effectively imposing Shria law in many widespread locations.

    Muslims are killing each other
    Muslims have declared Jihad
Muslims cut the head off of infidels on live feeds.

Muslims do not have a network reach to help poor third world countreis like Christians do.
Muslims routinely plant bombs to kill innocent civilians, babies, women, wedding audiences.
Islam is a religion invented by a pedophile.
One day, allah will kiss my ass before I slice his throat for murdering so many innocent civilians.
The CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY does not engage in this stuff in our contemporary civilization.

YOU do not dictate what God we worship. WE DO. You can claim we worship the same God, but yet virtually all muslims and Christians dont agree, I guess your almighty opinion is worth more

But by declaring we dont worship the same God, it is so. You know why I know we dont worship the same GOD?
    BECAUSE I SAID SO.
I denounce the koran and I worship Jesus Christ.
Jesus is lord and GOD of all, all shall bow down to him and declare his majesty as GOD to all.

Yes....most notably Iran. I have known several intelligent, educated and even Americanized Iranians who have long lived here with their families....all of them blatantly Jew Haters....and they are not even shy about proclaiming it. Where do they get this ingrained hatred....from the religon of islam ...obviously.

Read thru this thread where I provided many examples.

    Here, from my comment #456:
On the contrary. Anders Brevik, The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord (CSA), Army of God (AOG), the NLFT in india who shot and killed Shanti Tripura in 2000, Scott Roeder who killed an abortion doctor because he believe abortion to be criminal and immoral(I wonder where he got that idea?), 14 traditionalist shamans that were killed in Peru in 2011(The murders were allegedly committed by, and/or at the behest of, the local mayor and a group of other evangelical Christians), Hutaree was a Christian militia group based in Adrian, Michigan, James Kopp who was associated with "the lamb's of christ", Eric Robert Rudolph who bombed an abortion clinic, and the list goes on and on and on.

Actions(whether immoral or moral) are caused by beliefs. The random act performed by some disturbed individual is due to his beliefs...............and if those beliefs are religious, then they are the cause of his horrible actions that make him appear disturbed.

YOU and Westboro baptist church don't agree. Your argument is moot and clearly shows that you dont understand. This only leaves the question of why you don't understand even after being shown how you are wrong. Purposefully not trying to understand or just CANT for some reason????

Virtually all christians(except for their 80 or so members) don't agree with them. So, just because you don't agree doesn't mean that you are not worshipping the same god. There are many interpretations to your religion.

This is a linguistic problem.................not a nomenclature problem.
