1)Norman Thomas ( socialist presidential candidate) The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.2)Bernie Sanders:"You don’t necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants when children are hungry in this country," Sanders told John Harwood In a 1918 speech in Canton, Ohio, Debs reaffirmed his solidarity with Lenin and Trotsky, despite clear evidence of their violent plunder and treachery. Sanders still hangs a portrait of Debs on the wall in his Senate office. In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies 3) Alexandria Cortez: "Capitalism has not always existed in the world, and it will not always exist in the world." 4)Cynthia Nixon: During an interview with The Dig podcast, Nixon said she disagreed with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s negative response to a question about whether Ocasio-Cortez’s surprise primary victory over Rep. Joe Crowley meant socialism was ascendant in the Democratic Party. “I think Nancy Pelosi is dead wrong, I think that is exactly what is happening,” Nixon said. 6)Rather than shy away from being called a socialist, a word conservatives have long wielded as a slur, candidates like Mr. Bynum are embracing the label. He is among dozens of D.S.A. members running in this fall’s midterms for offices across the country at nearly every level. In Hawaii, Kaniela Ing, a state representative, is running for Congress. Gayle McLaughlin, a former mayor of Richmond, Calif., is running to be the state’s lieutenant governor. In Tennessee, Dennis Prater, an adjunct professor at East Tennessee State University, is running to be a county commissioner.
Well, neo marxism was responsible for millions of deaths in the last century. Socialists have to be deceptive. This is why they let a generation or two pass before they attempt to take over again. I guess it is time for that. Hopefully folks will not be so gullible this time. Socialists resort to strong arm tactics when they can because they know their ideology does not work.
Yes they let a generation or two pass but what will happen once the new generation finds out that socialism killed 120 million?
Too late. They'll figure it out AFTER another 120 million are dead, that is, if the lying liberal media no longer exists. Steve
'Do they belong here?' is a pointless question since we wont be exiling them. 'What do we do about it?' is a better question (and the one I'll assume you meant to ask). We continue resisting them. Endlessly. Feedom doesnt exist without constant, perpetual vigilance.
They really aren't well liked by the voters. Cortez won because her opponent was lazy and didn't campaign, thought he had it in the bag, like Hillary. However we can see many on the left taking that win as a sign that they can come out of their shell and we finally see where the democratic party actually is, what they want, and that's socialism. Many are backing off now but its too late, they have exposed themselves for what they really are.
People in this country that support socialism are the lazy drones that think they are going to get something they didnt work for.
I dont know why they bother attempting to change America, why dont they just move to Venezuela, where their utopia already exists.
They aren't socialists and don't want socialism. They are fiat capitalists who want to use central government force towards their very capitalist wants and needs to violently milk the productive, moral, voluntary elements of society. In essence they are plain old mob rule mafia thugs running the same old organized crime rackets such crooks have run throughout history. Like snakes shedding a skin they use whatever academic jargon, ideology-lite, and propaganda they can to grow their power, last year it was Keynes and "social justice," this week it's "democratic socialism" and "Orange Man Bad!" next week it will be back to dishonest lie narratives on "the failures of capitalism," "wealth inequality" and identity politics. They do this to enrich their very capitalist lifestyles in exchange for the least value possible at the end of a government gun barrel, to get another fake grant, another crony government contract, another pay bump for a junk degree, another set of competition stifling regulations, another bloated pension, another graft trough pool of money open for plunder, another do-nothing job in the Complex for their family, more redistribution to sell more of their junk and displace culture with vile celebrity pseudoculture. Maybe a fourth house for Sanders will be enough, maybe he'll want 4 houses for each of his family and friends... at the rest of our expense. At least real socialists, what few of them there are out there somewhere, are sincere and believe they are doing right. The creeps using "socialism" as this year's "Keynesian stimulus" know exactly what they are, which is why they spend so much time and money labeling anyone who stands in their way. Nothing new, even the worst, most obvious crooks need to feel they are the "good guys."
