What do you guys not get about foreign intelligence? Lol. They store foreign intelligence, they tap phone calls going in and out of America or in foreign countries, they intercept emails going in and out of America, they develop relationships with foreign informants, they tap Facebook posts and chats from foreigners. They get a crap load of data. There is 6.3 billion people out there outside of the United States. A lot of people are trying to bring drugs, weapons, humans, etc in to our country to sell.

The fact you guys can't differentiate between the two is astonishing.

I knew this would happen. Called it when I heard snowden. Going to do something with all that power, going to do more with it in time, and they will rationalize all extra steps the way they rationalized the first intrusion.

The fact that citizens can get retroactively tapped and no one cares is astonishing. This is pretty much how it works in practice.

Don't forget: they vote on whether something violates the Constitution.

The fact that you care that criminals get "retroactively tapped" just because the NSA does not want to reveal it's way of tracking foreign enemies is astonishing. Show me a case of an innocent American citizen getting "retroactively tapped" and getting sentenced to a crime they didn't commit. I'll be waiting.

See, same rationalization when they steal every freedom. "If you dont have something to hide."

How about this, instead of worrying about petty laws you guys focus on upholding our constitutional ones.

The fact that you can't understand that they need probable cause and warrants for this information is laughable.

Petty laws? Drug cartels and drug smugglers are breaking "petty laws". You guys are out of touch with reality.

Still don't understand that they need warrants to do this?

Really don't care about the constitution or civil liberties?

    - - - Updated - - -

So break the law and step on constitutional rights to catch people breaking the law?

Your idea of a system is backwards.

What is more important, upholding drug laws that do not work, or upholding the Constitution that did?

Ahhh, you're a druggie that wants the drug smugglers to get in to our country. Just more of a reason for me to agree with the NSA's policies. Only criminals have a problem with the NSA catching criminals.

Oh, your just a totalitarian trying to stomp on the Constitution and give up all freedoms to your leaders. "More tribute and power to the government! Keep a close eye on the people!" sort of stuff.

I lose absolutely no freedom by the NSA alerting the DEA of foreigners trying to smuggle or sell drugs in the United States. The only people that want the NSA not to do this are criminals. They would love you, if you were in charge!!

Yes, totalitarians don't like to give up their own freedom, they are interested in taking the freedoms away from people. Try to worry about a principle and not just yourself for awhile,

You want to know why drug use is so high? People are choosing to escape from the society you have created.

Have you never posted or written something online that you wouldn't want repeated to a jury?

I don't let fake "principles" get in the way of common sense. And it's hilarious when you ask me to stop thinking about myself for a while when I'm the one that does not care if my information is filtered through to get to criminals so people do not get killed, kidnapped, raped, or drug lords, weapons traffickers, human traffickers, etc get caught. How selfish of me!! Lol. Keep fearing that the government actually cares one iota about you and your life.

No non citizens aren't protected by the constitution. Citizens however are, and the NSA has obviously been collecting data on citizens if they are sharing it with the DEA to use in court. Why? Because for the DEA to charge and try someone they have to be under their jurisdiction, which only covers US citizens.

Starting to get the picture yet?

The DEA doesn't have the jurisdiction to charge foreigners.

There are plenty of illegal immigrants and foreigners trying to smuggle drugs in to our country. There are also criminal US citizens communicating with people in other countries coordinating drug transactions.

I'm glad you are such a huge supporter of drug dealers, criminals, and terrorists. You seem like someone I want to be in charge of national security, lol.

They have the jurisdiction to arrest foreigners trying to bring drugs in to the US.

They can't bring them to trial. So again the information gotten from the NSA is on citizens, and is then being covered up to skirt fair trial laws. You can try to dance around it all you like but it always comes back to the fact that citizens constitutional rights are being violates.

Wether you care about that or not is meaningless. Those who do will continue to investigate and bring to light these offenses.

Are we still talking about this? I wonder why people are trying so hard to convince us this is a non-issue? There is already a case of a US citizen who was charged with a crime based on information that "looks like" it was scooped by the NSA. The way they do this, is through a legal mechanism called "parallel construction", which in my opinion is un-constitutional because it deprives the accused of the opportunity to confront his accusers and the witnesses against him. http://www.google.com/#bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&fp=9560e867276ddebc&q=us+citizen+parallel+construction+nsa

Crime was going down before the NSA. When they come to put you in jail you will care what they can get.

So how is that going for you, the war against drug lords, rapists, and weapons traffickers? UK has the most public surveillance in the world and a climbing rape rate. Besides, rapists, don't email their victims. Drug lords are killing more people and making more money, but prescription drugs are taking more and more American lives. Legalize prostitution if you don't like human trafficking, that seems like an easy one. Maybe loosen up those immigration laws.

How do you feel when they do it for every other law? Like the ones you have broken in your life? (Dont BS me and say you never broke a law. I think like 85% off Americans have had a drink or 3 and drove at one time alone).

Is there any Constitutional principle you think should not be sacrificed or the sake of catching drug users, pimps and hookers?

    Exactly.

These are abuses of our legal system. It's just like that judge down in Texas that just got thrown in jail (for 28 years) for accepting bribes to send innocent kids to private prisons. What kinds of legal mechanisms do you think he had to use to accomplish that? "Parallel construction", and stuff like that?
