NYC Mayor to synagogues: Close for coronavirus or be shut down permanently

    If churches or synagogues were singled out then it would be anti-religious. But just about everywhere people assemble has been closed down TEMPORARILY for public health purposes (so far).

    I assume the "permanent" part of it is an empty threat designed to get their attention. If not there will be huge problems coming down the pike.

    I have no idea if mosques are still assembling or not. No religious institution, no yacht club, no museum, no theatre, no casino, no institution that is non-essential should get a pass.

    If the closings do not get good results in another month or five weeks everybody should go back to work, however.

    Florida Republican Governor has declared church, synagog , mosques are now considered “essential” places and will not be shut down
