    Just to make things clear: Harvey Milk's live in boyfriend commited suicide. He was 25. I think you are mixing up the undenaible story of Milk's lover at the time with the allegation that Milk had sex with a 16 year old previously. Two different people.
    I am not in any ways defending Milk IF he did in fact commit a crime with an underage boy, just wanted to clear up the OP that seems to have mixed up two stories.

    nowhere did shilts claim milk had sex with a minor. It is nowhere in the book, nor anywhere else.

    Read the OP. Is a 16 year old a minor? Shilts was a friend of Milk, and said he had a habit of sex relations with underage teens who had drug habits.

    I've read it. I've actually read the entire book, not just an out of context quote which doesn't say what you keep claiming.
    Did anyone accuse milk of sleeping with a 16 year old? nope.
