""The civil rights movement was hard. Winning the vote for women was hard. Making sure that workers had some basic protections was hard," President Obama said at a fundraiser while talking about how difficult it is to bring about "change" in politics.

"Around the world, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, what they did was hard. It takes time. It takes more than a single term. It takes more than a single president. It takes more than a single individual," Obama said.

"What it takes is ordinary citizens who keep believe, who are committed to fighting and pushing and inching this country closer and closer to our highest ideals. And I said in 2008, 'that I am not a perfect man and I will not be a perfect president.' But I promised you, but I promised you, I promised you back then that I would always tell you what I believe. I would always tell you where I stood," he also said at a fundraiser in NYC."

Considering all things... I think President Obama is a great President; his second term will be even better.

    Okay; believe what you will/must.

We disagree. And Carter did more good than many will admit.

Even so, I'm not the only person who realizes that Barack Obama has been an awesome President. 4 more years of Obama would surely be good for America.

    O'12!!

    What does that even mean?

Here's a man who can't get enough taste of blood and he likens himself to Gandhi? This president is mad. He needs to stop talking about himself.

Your angry words sound just like I imagine Jesus would speak of others. You are very Christ like. That's what it means. Praise Jesus.

What YOU are saying is 'meaningful'? LOL! :)

You cannot even begin to SHOW (substantively) what you just claimed above; how BOGUS can you get?

You are essentially seeking to slander the President. I think that is DISGUSTING. You should thank God (all the more) for free speech.

He's a politician; it is proper for him to promote his record and accomplishments. And I'm certain that in about 5 more years when he is no longer President... history will look favorably upon him.

    God Bless Barack Obama!!

His actions slander himself. His record as Commander-in-Chief shows that he has an addiction for blood and he can't kick the habit.

    We disagree.

Even so, I'm done with this unfruitful back and forth about his character here.

Of course, President Obama is extremely modest for a narcissist. He considers himself the greatest president ever and the superior, or at least equal, of every great man who ever lived.

President Obama is quite mad but so are those who worship him. But, Johnny, there is help.

I doubt it, Bush 2 scored much higher up the scale towards psychopathy.

Unfortunately, you're clearly wrong. Oh, I don't doubt hired psychologists said so but President Bush never graded himself a "A" when he was a dismal failure. He never said he was the fourth greatest president ever and left it open to be consider higher. President Bush never compared himself, himself, mind you, to Ghandi or Mandela or Lincoln or Churchill or Washington or Jefferson. No, for sheer nuttiness, President Obama wins hands down. Just consider the people who worship him. They're nutty, too. Evan Thomas saying, "Obama is sort of god." That's weird, folks. Chris Matthews with his tingly leg. Srange folks. Nutty followers tend to indicate a nutty leader. Even a leader who says, "I lead from behind," and doesn't understand why people giggle.

Gandhi had worked hard for the freedom of Indian people, he did not use the violent means for their freedom. Mandela did a great job for the African people, he was arrested and detained. what president Obama has done being the president of the super Power for the people of US and world?
Mr. President need to be more active to do some thing better for current scenario of the world. President Obama please do not measure others with your own frame of reference..

That is becuase you are an oppressive liberal who wants to see Conservative values crushed, swept aside or otherwise persecuted or taxed out of existence.

America did not vote for a radical shift to the left that you people keep trying to drag us down.

You are a god (*)(*)(*)(*)ed minority and need to accept that fact and quit using every dirty trick in the political playbook to get your way.

Quit using (*)(*)(*)(*)ing welfare to buy votes!

No, Obama is no Mandela, and certainly isn't anything like Gandhi, on the the other hand, he is an egomaniac.

    Is Obama feeling suicidale?

Gandhi awoke passions in his people to cause wide spread change but in the process he was killed for it. Such sudden change is also painfull. And Mandela before he could even make change lost the best years of his life in a prison cell.

So if Mr obama believes he is the next version, it won't end well.

Ghandi and Nelson Mandela. You left some names out, Mr. First Black President. Let's start with, Martin Luther King Jr, Sourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Fredrick Douglas, Booker T. Washington,Medgar Evers, Julian Bond, Fannie Lou Hamer, Malcolm X, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, Paul Robeson, Josephine Baker, the Little Rock Nine, to name a few. They gave blood sweat and tears. Without their great sacrifices the son of a White woman from Kansas, the stepson of an Indonesian, the grandson raised in Hawaii by two White grandparents, would not have been elected POTUS in 2008.

Anytime a right-winger posts a thread like this you know that it's only 1/2 the truth...

Right-wingers are so desperate. It's a shame that so many people are willing to believe the right-wing's lies without question.

Breitbart's spirit of disinformation and lies lives on.

    You can count on that.

That is an understatement.... if I ever read one.....

Yasureyabetcha...... If ya wanted the USSR to crush the USA, n' if ya wanted the Islamo facists ta label US the "Great Satan" then surely Carter, "the worthless one" was yer man...... Ya mustta really been butt hurt when he lost by a huge landslide.... poor baby.... :fart:

From the perspective of a termite, who blames and hates America you would surely agree with yer fellow Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/Commie/Statists who want this place burned down.

    No surprize here....
    :fart:

That is why I'm stock pilin' long shelf life food, fruit trees, blueberries, et al at my private island. If yer Chicago thug finds enough voters like you we are in real trouble.

Let's retire Obamaprompter in 11/2012! :nana:
